I need a new sig, something with Kabal from UMK3 would be sweet. Just imagine that here

It's been nearly a decade since "Mortal kombat: Annialation". After that failure, is Mortal Kombat still a sellable francise in the movie biz?

personally, i think yes...as long as they keep the styrofoam-clad ninjas out of it. not to say they should keep Scorpion or Sub-Zero out, just dress them in real-looking ninja gear.

Hmm good question.

Yes and no.
look at it from threshold point of view. Can they really afford to take a chance on spending millions of dollars on a movie that might just only get them their money back? The answer is probably not.Contrary to what you read on imdb.com and other websites,I dont see this movie happening ever or atleast not from a small movie studio that really can't risk going out of business over it.I wouldn't do it,and its not a good idea just cause fans of the game want to see another one made.Don't get me wrong,I'd love to see another one be made. But honestly, its just not really in the cards for them to go and make another one.Look at newline, they can afford to lose money,Threshold can not.

And honestly even though they own the website or the name to it,that doesnt mean they give a damn about wether or not the movie ever gets made. They paid their money to own it until whenever.People in hollywood move on to other things in their lives and I doubt very much that lambert or ashby or anyone else that was in the first movie really gives a damn right now as they have more important things in the lives to worry about.Sorry if you dont want to read this but its the truth.

Good point, you metioned a lot of things that I didn't think about. Honestly though, I think no one is expecting any big time hollywood names to show up in MK3. it's really not that big of a production anyway, The director is Mink for god's sake. That's one thing I DID think about.
