um, yes there is going to be a mortal kombat three movie, but you are going to have to wait til it gets finished, though i probaly wont see, i know its going to be out soon

i cant believe this, the mk movie has been confirmed, hasnt it. People have got to stop saying its not gonna happen.

All right everyone check this out:

Seed of Chucky (the sequel to Bride of Chucky) has been given a green light after being scraped in 2000. I'm basically saying that no one can say there will never be a MK3 movie because every movie idea is put to the side not scraped. Does this make sense to anyone?

Reality - A third MK film will not be made.

In case you haven't noticed, MK:A TANKED at the box office. Plus we live in a post-Matrix world, you can't make films like the first MK anymore. And then there's Threshold, who hasn't had any hits, except for the first MK film, period. (And their website is a joke. Their MK section hasn't been updated in ages. To them, _MK5_ for the XBox is still a RUMOR.)

If a third MK film is made, most of us will probably wish it wasn't.

true, which is why it's a good thing it's taking so long for MK3 to come out; It's always a good strategy to leave a movie series alone if the last one didn't perform well.

The perfect example of this would be Batman 5 - Batman n Robin tanked, and Warner Bros wated several years to begin production on a new Bat film, and that's what they did; Bruce Wayne and Alfred have been cast, and production will begin next year.

They didn't produce a lot of films, plus with MKC, it's obvious they learned from their mistakes, so I don't agree with that arguement.

I agree somewhat... Keep in mind that the official site covers the film the most, obviously, and since info on mk3 is scarce, it's not too hard to understand why there aren't updates

You can't predict if you'll like a movie if it hasn't come out; stop being so cynical. Afterall, if you watched MK Conquest, you'll see Threshold learned from their mistakes and actually improved on what made the first film so great; a killer atmosphere and a storyline with lots of depth.
