K I think I got an idea on how to bring Cage back. This is the best one I had although I did have a few more. You could use the story from the game and go a little off MKA. When Cage got killed, like in the game his soul went to a higher plane but because of the merger of the worlds(I think that's how it was in the games, don't remember) his soul is sent back but the twist is, instead of being sent back to his own body it's sent to the body of a dead outworld warrior, sort of like the how Liu Kang ended up in Kano. Just so you wouldn't have to worry about him, have him work for whoever your bad guy is, until he meets up with Raiden or Scorpion or someone who senses his familiar presence and tries to remind him that he used to fight for the Earth realm.

but dont forget that this is going to be a direct sequel happening a few years later

Hmmm maybe you could do something with Cage's body then, I know your not using the whole Reptile thing from the movies but how Reptile in the first movie went in the corpse and reactivated it. Whoeevr you have being the bad guy could take Cage's body and use it to host one of his minions and when Raiden and the others find this out they could try to get Cage's soul so he could fight to get his body back.

what? no more ideas? and not about johnny. if he fits, well think of ideas on how to bring him back. everyone realize, wed like to bring johnny in for this one. he was originally supposed to be in mkand, but wasnt necessary,. in order to bring new characters into a sequel, it needs grace. look at the way mka brought jax into the story. it wasnt the best way, but fit

This is a way to bring back Johnny Cage and Shang Tsung basing the Movie in MKDA:

When Quan Chi escapes the Nether realm, he enters the portal into the Dragon King’s undefeatable army. There, he discovers some runes and learns of the powers of the amulet.

Not only he can use it to control the dead army, but also, it has the gift to revive the dead, only ONCE.

He learns this and uses it to resurrect Shang Tsung, since he needs him for his ability to steal and control souls. By doing this, the amulet has lost the gift to revive the dead, and it will never work that way again.

But Quan Chi ignores that by unbalancing the realms of the dead (Heaven and Hell) when resurrecting Shang Tsung, he involuntarily allows Johnny’s spirit to descend from heaven.

By doing this, Johnny Cage and Shang Tsung are once again alive, restored in their original bodies to fight in Mortal Kombat.

he doesnt have an amulet. the one youre thinking of was destroyed. it was shinnoks. and i dont like the idea of him keeping the shinnoks original and making a fake one. it doesnt make shinnok seem as powerful

Who were you talking to? But just in case, if it was me then:

Quan Chi has the original amulet.

He used it to destroy Shinnok and trick him with a false one.

He still has the original amulet.

Cage back?- Due to the fact that he was killed during a betrayle by Shinnok and that the Earth was restored and those caught in between the realms were returned to normal and Raiden was granted life by the Elder Gods... Cage's soul reaches the heavens... I don't think the whole outworld warrior soul thing would be good in the movie a little complicated.... Raiden is an Elder now so he can probally restore life as well... he takes Cage's body from where ever it is buried and restores it along with his soul and introduces Cage back to the group of Earth Warriors when he reveals the sequence of events at hand... be it a Deadly Alliance cenario or what ever...

Other things I would like to see:
Scorpion's story developed much much more... he has no story in the Movies, except what was in the series... How did he come back from MK1? Explain this and also that he is free from Shao Kahn's/Shang Tsung's control and give him his own personality and objectives... like being a rival of Quan Chi and seeking Sub-Zero out when he discovers Quan Chi has escaped Netherealm or what ever Quan chi does, cause possible Sub-Zero has some grudge against Quan Chi also like in the game and they team up in some sort of way or Scorpion explains everything in an act to help the Earth warriors confusing them on where he stands in loyalty...

Something about the Lin Kuei... explain how the original Sub-Zero was under Tsung's control and his brother now leads the Lin Kuei as a force of good or what have you...

Possibly have Reptile in it or Chameleon/Khameleon or something since Reptile is DEAD...

I'm kind a confused, I don’t understand what you want to explain. All I know is that Shinnok’s original amulet was never destroyed, is the one Quan Chi is using in MKDA, do, he can very well use it in the movie.

Besides, the amulet is never mentioned in the movies, hell!, Shinnok was supposed to be in hell and not in earth anyway!!

BTW, what does Mkand stands for??

hell yea with that man, but cage can't be no corny mother fucker like in the games. if my ass was dead already and i came back i wouldent be so cocky and stupid when my ass came back to life. and id quit acting and train myself to stay alive and be stronger to whip some ass.

good news. ive though of a good way to bring a desired character back...cage may return!
