i love the MK cartoon me and my mom used to watch all the time....hmm last time i saw it was in 1998 or 1997 or somethingand i think it was on VH1 or MTV

Forgot to say, when I said true to the spirit of the series, I meant also there sould be blood and mutilations. Not the action for kids we've seen in Defenders of the Realm (ok, this one was cool, but it didn't follow in the steps of the story like it should), or that we're used to in Justice League Unlimited.

Therefore, it should run in Adult Swim or something like that.

Well i would watch the new cartoon if it followed these two rules
1.Didnt suck like the first cartoon
2.Didnt have Luke Perry in it.
Well MK:Conquest was kickass and bloody and that was on TNT so i think they coudl put it their.

i remember renting an MK cartoon when i was little where Lui Kang and good guys (to make it shorter) and they had to stop something bad from happening but i remember nightwolf or some1 like that guided them with a computer........ it was weird and i remember the cover of it was them infront of a boat. I also own The Journey Begins in 3-d, i find it funny.

Yeah I would like a new MK animated series to get made someday. Only I hope they give it a dark and restricted tone aimed at mature audiences (like the games). The problem with the movies and the previous shows was that they lacked the grusome effects that made the game franchise so popular.

I don't really care what games they base another cartoon off of. Either the first trilogy (MK1-3) or the second trilogy (MKDA-Armageddon) would be fine for me.

It needs to be bloody, it needs to be gritty, and it needs adult themes. NO anime style. I'd like to see fights that are fast paced like in an anime, but the characters and atmosphere should have a more darker look and feel, like from batman the animated series, or as some1 stated gargoyles. Adult Swim might be a good location for it, becuase they show most of there shows uncensored, and its got alot of cartoons, but thats mostly anime dominated, and the few american cartoons are porrly animated comedies(Aqua-Gate. Moon-Nite bitches!). So my proposal for where it should be shown, is Spike. Thats the best station to put it, this show would go hand in hand with there 'Get More Action' tagline, and the stations not afriad to show cartoons, as evident with Afro Samurai, which was action packed and bloody which is exactly what this new series should be. So the only thing really is, get a godamn petition started, and go to random forums, not just Mk ones and spread the petition link.

why are people saying that it shouldnt be japanese animated? ive always wanted it to be in anime form cause first of all american style animation completely sucks anime style is the only style that shows more details and action movements then american style animation, i just suggest they use a good anime company with a realistic human style not like DBZ or other animes were the characters eyes are huge, and ive scene MK drawn in anime style there was a site hat did nothing but anime style it looked totaly cool with there detail i saw fatality drawings really gory and cool. seriously anime is the way to go if it is done right i hate american style animation cause they never go into the detail that they should, and come on a game with alot of ninjas in it and not japanese animated? come on MK screams to be in anime style japan is best when it comes to ninjas and warriors of shaolin and etc. and it would be great if they could make it a long series that fallowed from MK 1 all the way through MK armageddon. with no slow eps. like nothing but talking like some animes do , alot of action all the time would be good.

this is what i would want them to make sure they kept
1) they DONT make there own designs for the characters they fallow the design exactly how the games designed them and they can change as how the new games came.

ex. like scorpions outfit went from normal MK1 to more detail then when it got to the deadly alliance his outfit changed to MKDA style sense living in neatherealm would change him. then when they got to the part were he got thrown into the soulnado and meat the elder gods and turned into there champion they can change it to that style sense i assumed when the elder gods made scorpion they changed his outfit to the MKD, MKA style.

2) fallow the MK storyline perfectly if possible
3) DONT cut out any of the violence and blood


now if not japanese anime style isnt possible why not fully 3D episodes?
think about it how many shows have you seen that were in full 3D animation and great detail this would totaly work sense they can fallow the outfits with no problem of any mistakes on detial, hell they can use the models from midway if they wanted it would work. and the fight scenes would be done better sense they can have martial artists do motion captor for the fight scenes. and in 3D they can do all the cool special affects like in the games.

Please Just no, Okay a Mortal Kombat Cartoon would be great. But not a bloody Dragon Ball Z style one... If anything make it as far from manga as possible. I'd rather if it looked like Dexter's Lab than a manga. If anything though it should look like the comic books

i never said anything about DBZ style i dont think it should be DBZ style too look at other action animes with better realistic anime style that doesnt gove them big eyes or oversized muscles , look at like ghost in the shell and stuff like that look how there human anatomy and action is way better then american style

I'm with it, so long as the art is non-anime (Maybe along the lines of DOTR, cuz Anime SUCKS!), the storyline goes along the lines of the real MK story (MK Bible would help massively), the actors actually sound like the Kombatant in question, and the Japanese do not try to force the creative crew to change any of this (I know it might be incredibly violent, but a bit of subversion like no really gory death scenes would help lower ratings. Either that or put it on Adult Swim.), this should be a victory for America!
