i just cant picture a movie without most of the main characters.i am guessing they are going to put scorpion,sub -zero,and probably quan chi but who else.this just does not soud right this info cant be right at all.

well i guess tha is true .and we will have to see when/if the movie ever comes if that is the final decission about the cast.but by the looks of it they probably wont be filming in a while, who knows they might make more changes or even not make the movie at all but still i wonder how it will do if the movie ever comes out or not.sorry Shinnokxz fi i offended you but there has been so much fake info or rumors about movie on this forum that it is hard to tell the difference between true information and false info.so i just dont trust anyone anymore.

Wow, to me this actually good news.

I never liked Robin Shou as Liu Kang that much (woulda prefered they'd have gone with Jason Scott Lee, who auditioned) and I love MKM:SZ - which lends itself to be a great movie imo. One of MKM/SZ's redeeming factors is its strong storyline, coupled with the fantastic ambiance. Parlay that into a movie, and at the least the settings/vibe should kick ass.
I suppose this explains the story revolving around Shinnok and Quan Chi then, which everyone had assumed meant it was based off MK4.

Oh, and if they throw the Great Kung Lao in there as well...

I guess I am the only one who thinks that a movie based off of Mythologies, or what seems to be Mythologies, is an amazing idea. While the gameplay of the game wasn't spectacular, the story was awesome, and has even more potential if put into a movie. While I would hope that they would continue the story of Shang Tsung's tournament, I'm sure they will somehow incorporate that into the movie.

I think making Sub-Zero the main protagonist is a great idea overall.

I know that MKMSZ has an amazing storyline, but I was really hoping for a movie based on MK3. A remake of Annihilation.

If it is a prequel, around Mythologies times, then that would make a hella cool movie, that game had an excellent storyline, the thought of seeing the 3 outworld girls [Sareena, Jakeeta, and the other one I can't remember her name, hah], would make my mouth water.

I can only sit back and just laugh and laugh.Its hard to believe this considering this idea was NEVER brought up before.But if it is true,god will be the only one to have mercy on threshold for making such a stupid mistake.ANd I no longer believe they deserve to have the rights to the MK movies any longer.Give it back to NEW LINE CINEMA.Odds are they will make more money selling the rights back to them then what they would with the new movie at the box office(ouch).BTW did you know New line helped with MKConquest.

I like the idea that Sub-Zero is the main character, he can project a story well imo. As for Lui Kang, meh, his time has gone.

Lets hope they really think through the story and fight scenes to bring a awesome movie.

It's not hard - the fact is that Threshold don't wanna pay for a GOOD writer, director, cast, or anything else. A good movie can be made out of anything, you just need the right crew. Give someone like Quentin Tarantino or Peter Jackson the job, and the film would rock.

Ah, Robin seemed pissed off. Hey guys, what's so big and bad a mistake about this? I honestly dont get your rants on this piece of news, which I remind you is somewhat simmilar to some statements I made a year or two (or three?) ago, with Subby being the main character and everything. I think this is kickass, Sub-Zero IS the man, all the bitches that complained about his rivalry with Scorpion not being explored in the movies will most certainly have reasons to cum now (a dumb mistake would be to make a movie about Sub-Zero and not Scorpion in it), his powers can provide some awesome deaths and special effects scenes, this means Quan Chi will probably be the main villain, another fantastic thing especially if they get Adoni Maropis to return... Very good news to me. The only bad thing is that we wont be seeing Linden Ashby return, which IS a shame, but I dont really give much of a shit about Robin not being in it (no offense to the man because I really liked his work in the first movie and he's definitely THE Liu Kang), but I'm afraid Sub-Zero being the main character owns everything else.

I completely agree Truth. My biggest problem with the first two films was that the fight scenes were terrible. I want to feel like I'm watching the characters beat the hell out of each other, not MK: The Ballet.

Plus, you can't go wrong with Sub-Zero. He and Scorpion still carry the franchise and focusing on those two would make for a very entertaining movie.

The reason why I wouldn't care about this movie being made, is because I never played MKMZS. But everyone is saying that it has a great storyline, so yeah. Hopefully it will turn out pretty good. And Robin Shou will be back, but just not in this movie because it is a prequal. So, eventually he will be back I hope...
