It's important to note Mortal Kombat 1995 saw s 53% drop the August 25 weekend in August 1995 (school also started up again). For some reason MK1995 saw a 900+% increase one weekend in November 1995 (I think its because MK3 or UMK3 came out then). MK1995 was in theaters from August to December 1995 and had constant drops except for 2 weekends during this time. MKII is leaving theaters and will likely leave theaters in the US by Japan's June 5 debut.
