  • Hellfire effects can be seen in Scorpion's Lair during his fight with Cage. These are simply wind generated by fans blowing into light-weight paper and lights to create a fake fire effect.
  • The top of Talisa Soto's left areola can briefly be seen during the shot where she tells Liu Kang he must use the element which brings life.
  • Goro's laugh, in the wide shot during his fight with Art Lean does not match his lips. In fact, none of Goro's lips matches anything he utters during the wide shots for this fight because these scenes relied upon the puppeteer, Tom Woodruff, wearing the whole costume to do what little movements Goro does during these very brief shots. (Remember - Goro was a pain in the ass to work with on set since he was mechanical and kept breaking down a lot).
  • Mortal Kombat ((995) was very woke! Recall both Sonya and Kitana's fights. Notice the amount of fake sweat they're wearing, almost like it's a cosmetic shine (Sonya's end scene with Kano barely shows water droplets on her). Now look at Liu Kang, Goro, and especially the Outworld monks - they are literally drenched in sweat, what we would later learn as baby oil to create that very greasey, shiny sweat. Even Kitana's skin-tight clothes and Sonya's slave dress / bare feet and her armpits / neck-leggrab don't save this film from being woke! (Sonya's outfit in the film was less woke than her video game counterpart, and throw in the fact she was much younger in the film than in the video game).
  • Shang Tsung is eating a green fruit and throws it down just as Liu Kang walks in front of him for his fight with Kitana.
  • Bridgette Wilson had some very big feet with very big "big toes."
  • In the fight with Liu Kang and Shang, notice the silver dragon? Watch the black around the dragon, especially right before Shang wipes the blood from his mouth. That's aluminum foil that likely was debri from prior cuts of the same scene and no one swept between set resets!
  • After Cage compliments Sonya on her slave dress, you can tell Bridgette was supposed to say "Oh, please" but "please" audio appears to be cut off just as she says it with her lips.
