So, I found this box filled with baseball cards and then there were these mortal kombat cards in these sleeves so I was wondering what they were and are these some rare cards or something because they were protected and some of the $3 baseball cards also in the box didn't have sleeves on them.

Those cards are from the 1992 Mortal Kombat Kit, a pre-order promotional item for the game. You only have 6 out of 7 (you're missing Sub-Zero) even with the complete 7 they don't sell for much.
