And clearly he hasn't been paying attention to NRS's change of employer in the past several years, either. wink

Why is DC publishing Mortal Kombat related things?

Those are the two franchises that I want seperate at all times.
Why did Ed Boon fuck up the mortal kombat franchise with his hard on fanboyism with DC, seriously, way to fuck up a perfect franchise by bringing something that had nothing to do with Mortal Kombat.

Why didn't Malibu publish this one, Ed needs to hop off of DC's Dick.
and stop mixing Mortal Kombat with DC, it wasn't a good idea in the past and it isn't a good idea now.

Warner owns DC. Warner owns Mortal Kombat. I think you're confused about why DC's publishing it.

Also Malibu closed down nearly 20 years ago, so I'm not sure how that would work.

Sorry for not noticing that malibu was closed down for 20 years? All I know of the comics that that the were once published by maibu and that is it, I didn't know that they were defunct.

Nevermind that comment I fully understand what the comics are about now, The DC publishing on the "official" Mortal kombat Comic book made me worry for a bit.

So since Warner Brothers owns Mortal Kombat now that means that anything that is made by Warner brothers must also be passed through DC?
Makes total perfect sense.
Why not just have the comic book have Warner Brothers on it, they didn't need the DC lable, the reason why they had DC on there was to boost sales for the DC fans and because DC handled the comic department of Warner Brothers.

But whatever.

You're not getting it. Warner Brothers doesn't make comic books. DC does. DC prints them, ships them, promotes them. WB is only the parent company but DC is still a company itself, they're just owned by someone else. DC is its own brand. It's the same reason you don't see the Disney logo on Marvel Comics. DC doesn't have a say in the marketing decisions WB makes about MK because WB owns them, unless it comes to characters specifically created by DC like Batman/Superman.

And also, that doesn't mean that MK exists in the same universe as DC characters either, because they do not. They merely publish the series because it's owned by their parent company.

That's all I needed to hear, thank goodness.
