At last, it can be unveiled. Not that there's much to unveil, but I'm proud of it. I did what i could with what I got.

It's not finished, hence why most of the links aren't activated yet - BUT I like it, as simple as it is. I'm trying to ensure that EVERYTHING a Bernholic would hope to find on there... IS on there - from the perspective of "what would I like to see!"... since I believe the two other sites on the net are pretty dire (the never updated official one, and the thoroughly amateur and messy fan site).

I'd appreciate any feedback any of you can give me... whether its good, crap, I should do this, do that etc.

It's only designed for 1024 x 768 resolution at the moment, it'll be a long time before an 800x600 appears (do many still use that resolution?). So if you need to adjust your screen, now is the time.

So without further-ado, here's the link, lemme know what you think (dont forget to check the individual movie pages [click the covers] - thats where most of the effort has gone since starting this last week) ...

Bernhardt With a Vengeance

and DONT come back to me going "the index links dont all work"!!!! I know that! grin

PS. since it's about Siro from MKC, I believe this is still on-topic eh? wink

How was it a double post when the thread was posted at 9:52AM and your ''double post'' showed up at 2:55PM? What the hell do you think we are? Morons?

I checked on my post a few hours later, and went to click edit, because I noticed the link wasn't highlight, just text. After going through it and clicking preview a couple of times, the next time I hit submit, it'd duplicated my original post as a reply.

There's no need to be so rude, this isn't spam, I was looking for help and feedback. Thanks so much.

I used to be a regular here around 3 years ago, going by the name of 'Art_Lean', as anyone who's been here that long will remember - so I'm not some spamming one-poster. i'm an MK fan looking for help & feedback, wanting to share what I'd done with other MK fans... guess I looked in the wrong place.

Because people do that. People think they're gods of inteligence and do that all the time. It pisses me off when they do.

I apologize, but since your thread wasn't getting any replies and since I've never seen you before, I thought you were just some newb trying to advertise his website by bumping his own thread.

BTW, the site loads at an amazingly slow pace. Try to do something about that.
Also, I suggest you change your server. Geocities is absolute crap.
I agree that you should change geocities; I had mines hosted there, and thank god I changed it.

Oh and the MK5.Org forum generally does give you feedback and help, minus a couple of assholes. Actually just one, he gave you that first wonderful reply.

I have apologized.

And what exactly do you consider an asshole, MKR?
Would a person that goes to someone else's site and post there saying that ''the site sucks!11!! come to my site is much better!!1!'' be considered an asshole?

of course - u always have to; that's b/c you're alwayz wrong.

you

I was being sarcastic u dumbass. And wtf does that have to do with this topic? There's a reason why I send u a message, it's for u, not for u to discuss in the forum so u can act like a geek to everyone

...be considered an asshole?

nope, but I can consider u one, definately.

Whatever you say. Like I said in a previous topic, I'm sick of your bullshit, and I dont want this fellow's thread to go off-topic and eventually get closed, so I'll just end it right here.
Oh what, everytime I'm right u pussy out and say something nerdy, like 'whatever you say'...sigh

You need an attitude change... wtf are you to try to bring ppl down, ppl that u don't even know, just so u can feel somewhat better of your pathetic life. A MK fan asks for feedback on his/her site, and you bitch for at a double post... Great going... Keep it up, then wonder why ppl don't like you.

I wasn't aware how slow it loads, since every PC i've been viewing it on has been using ADSL, so it all pops up rather quickly.

I actually changed the whole site *to* geocities. I used to use Lycos, they had a TINY pop-up that you could close, with 50mb free and off-site linking.

That's all changed however and now they have HUGE popups that fill up the screen. I wasnt aware of this cos I use norton firewall, but my girlfriend informed me of it when checking it from her sister's PC.
So I moved it to geocities for lack of a better choice simply because they had such a small pop-up.

I hope to eventually movie it again but for the moment it'll have to stay.
Are there any hosting places you can recommend that have little/no popups for free and a large file-hosting limit?

5 years ago with a bit of java-script, i used to run a .com address for free with no pop-ups... man those days seem so long ago now.

My fiancé and I are moving to a new apartment soon, and I'm having to change my job, get a new car etc. to ensure financial security, so I can't afford to spend money on a server or anything for the moment - so that's why I'm stuck on the cheap options.

Excluding geocities (who I've never been a fan of) and the fact that it's a little slow to load (I'll one day try and fix that) - is it of a quality standard? If you were a Bernhardt fan looking for a cool site on him, would this meet your needs?

Please remember it is all a work-in-progress.
It is a very solid fan site, probably one his best. As for other servers, I don't recommend any at this point, as I think it's still kind of early to waste so much money on a site you just started... Maybe as it's popularity grows, and as more content is added to the site.

Try freewebs.
www.freewebs.com

It's a great server. Lots of space, no pop-ups (last time I checked, anyway) and really easy to work with.
