Hey guys,

I'm a new filmmaker and I released online my second fan film, "Mortal Kombat: The Tobias Diamond" this past Friday night. Since I'm a huge fan of the Mortal Kombat game series, I decided to make a short fan film about Mortal Kombat. I hope you guys as Mortal Kombat gamers and fans would appreciate the link to watch it and some more info about it.

Here is a basic plot summary:
The popular video game characters Scorpion and Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat come to life in this exciting fan film. When Scorpion harms Sonya Blade's partner so he can steal the tobias diamond, Sonya is instructed to go to Outworld and get the diamond back from Scorpion. However, she isn't only after the diamond, she is also after revenge for her partner. It isn't until Sonya catches up to Scorpion in Outworld that she realizes, she isn't the only one out for revenge - so is Scorpion!

Please let me know what you guys think on here or there - or both. Thanks so much! furious

I liked it. Warms me well to see MK fans doing work. I liked the music, and you guys worked with what you had, the outcome was a good fan film. The acting was better than Origin of Chun-Li. I know that's not saying much but I liked it. Good fan film, great effort. Keep it up.

This belongs in the media discussion forum, since it's a film that you made.

You should have moved it to the fan submission forum. The media and movie section is pretty much dead.

I think that's the closest to MK3 as we're gonna get :D

Also, Zentile should be here any minute now whining/moaning/ and crying like a 5 year old girl on how terrible this is - just giving you the heads up.

Personally I thought it was OK for a fan film.

Awesome work, I love this kind of thing.

I always loved Federation of Martial Arts even though it looked really amateur. As long as something is done right, it's cool regardless of productions values.
The effort and initiative alone are awesome, and everybody did a pretty good job.

I could have done without Scorpion's lightning bolts, though.

Oh, and my favorite part has to be 1:17. Made me laugh out loud.

I don't really know what could have ever lead you to think I don't enjoy this sort of thing.
It's not trying to be anything more than it is, and it does a good job at it. I appreciate the initiative alone, and I've always been this way.
Like I said, I was a HUGE, HUGE fan of MKFOMA, even though it looked very amateur-ish.

I'm a bit surprised at your reaction to this film. You've always been very negative in general, and I haven't seen any positive post from you at all before today. It appears I made a wrong assumption about you, my apologies.

I don't feel I'm negative in general, nor have I ever been. I'm negative with things that I believe are shit, and I'm positive otherwise. I praise people's work in the fan submission section often.

I've had harsh words to say about an absurdly bad fan ''script'' for a Mortal Kombat movie that was posted here a few years ago, but other than that I can't remember that many things that I've ''bitched like a five year old''.

Apologies accepted, I don't really know who you are anyway so I wouldn't expect you to pass accurate judgment on me.
