I kinda have to agree that the second mortal kombat movie was not a good one, however I am sure the 3rd movie will turn out A-okay.

does anyone know how come smoke uses a missile while fighting liu-kang ? i'm sure it's sektor that uses missiles, cyrax that uses an acid net, and smoke who has a tridant am i wrong or was liu going to fight sektor originaly?

meh, MKA was OK, who cares if they were lazy, isnt everyone? I can never hate anything about MK, maybe they made a few mistakes with annihilation, but who cares. the fighting was good, isnt that good enough, sure the story was off, but theyll fix some shit up with MKD.

The recyclation of some scenes is a little present also for Mk Conquest!

They also recycled the scene of Liu Kang morphing.

I never noticed the Rain thing...that's interesting...altho I tusually skip the baraka part when I watch it for some reason, But I dunno...I agree that the first movie was better but for some reason I found the second one more entertaining and watchable. I guess because they modeled virtually all the characters after the game and they all weren't so movie-ized in Annihilation. I also thought the final scene where everyone fights was very well done, at least until the whole "unleash your animality" came about...that was very Power Rangery. As if the animality was substituded for the zords. very stupid.

4) Scorpion and Sub-Zero had only 1 scene in the entire movie and they are MK's most popular characters.
5) There were three reptiles when there is supposed to be only 1 remaining according to the games
6) There were three reptiles in the movie but only two fought, where did the other one go?
7) Sheeva never fought in the movie, but rather crushed from Kitana's cage.
8) There were too many Barakas.
9) Shao Khan showed his face one too many times
10) Shinnok was Khan's father? WTF?
11) Shinnok became a puzzle at the end? WTF?
12) Shinnok never fought.
13) NIghtwolf never fought
14) Smoke stole Sektor's missile attack.
15) Rain died as a butt kisser. And apparently died twice in the movie from what the above threads are stating.
15) Ermac didn't fight worth shit
16) Noob was part of Ermac? WTF?
17) The Sindel vs. Kitana fight sucked.
18) No story development for each character only special appearances.

I can go on and on but I am in a hurry. All I have to say is that this third movie better be good.

its been such a long time since ive seen the second movie...one thing that bugged me was when raiden was facing the reptiles...it was like some retarded synchronized dancing...that fight scene was horrible....and the fact that they made everyone related was just crazy....shinnok was shao kahns father....shao khan was raidens brother.....it was just a really poor plot....one thing i did like tho was......ummm......wait...nevermind

Maybe it's me, but I haven't been happy with any movie based on a video game. I think the top of the list might be Tomb Raider, but even still that movie sucked. Producers depend on the fact that popular games have an army of loyal fans who would pay regardless of what pile of puke they put on the screen. If you don't believe me, watch Tara Reid try to pretend that she's ever read a book in "Alone in the Dark."

Maybe the next mortal kombat movies would be better if they got actual martial artists to play the characters.
Maybe they should just stick to video games.
