Does anyone remember Mortal Kombat:Federation Of Martial Arts? Something has just crossed my mind about a kombatant named Jimmy Cage. Is he supposed to be the brother, son or cousin of Johnny Cage? And did he appear on MK Conquest?

What does this have to do with MK: Armageddon? This thread probably belongs better in the MK Movies and Media Discussion.

Jimmy Cage was nearly the same character as Johnny, but I always found him to be weaker (not in terms of character but in terms of fighting. He got his ass kicked by Kitana) than Johnny, and also, more ''bad guy''ish, as he insulted Kitana before their match. I dont think he really had any other matches other than with Kitana, though. And, I think he actually turned heel at one point, joining forces with the black dragon, but dont quote me on that.

this is a question maden 1000 of times!
however kingjolly you're my friend so i'll explain what i know, tough i never saw the show.
it was just like a tv-show and maybe the continue of Mortal Kombat Conquest.
there was Adoni Maropis as Quan Chi,Chris Casamassa as Scorpion,Lynn Williams as Jax and howver almost every MK character from MKuniverse and also Siann from Mk Conquest frst serie.
every friday on Mortalkombat.com were posted a fight or something and you have to bet and guess the winner...never try it but i'm sure that was very funny.
for what i know the quality of the show is amateurish but good enough to be enjoyable.
poor zentile he answered this a lot of times...

And I'll have to answer it again because you're answer is WROONG.
Nice try, though.
It wasn't JUST like a tv show. All you could watch was matches (and the Jax trial angle) and it was always divided into three different clips, named ROUNDS (even the Jax storyline was divided into rounds). And while Adoni Maropis' face was featured, he wasn't really playing quan chi for MKFOMA, it was stock footage from MKC. And it wasn't a follow up to MKC, it was a sort of different version of MKA, basically. EDIT: Also, you didnt bet on who won, you purchased the fighter's stock, and if he won the matches, your stock would rise. I think the currency was... Atman. Named after a Mortal Kombat producer, Steve Hattman.

ahahah my bad!

It was brilliant. I think there was also a message here earlier this year that had the fights, that was brilliant to re-live. There was also online voting where you had to select the elder god to replace Raiden after he was unceremoniously ousted (can't remember what for). I actually think they pretty much scrapped the whole concept of FOMA shortly after a massive competition where the fans could submit photos of themselves in dress up for a new kombatant. Hopefully the third movie goes well and it can be revived.

The main headache with the buying selling of character stocks was that insider trading was rampant. I forgot exactly how people did it, but people managed to walk away with tons of atman after the match was decided. One method they used was to create a number of multiple accounts and trade w/ themselves, then bankrupt several so one or more would have the larger amount of atman.
Other than that, it was pretty fun.
