Re: Taja in MKC
I agree completely. Thief or not, Taja did not have (not ever displayed) the ruthless nature that Kira has. She would not harm or murder an innocent person... where as Kira would do both without hesitation. They are nothing alike.
On another note, all this talk about Taja has inspired me to do this (
and before anyone states the obvious, yes I DO know that Taja never wielded a staff in MKC... however I figured a collapsable staff that could easily be hidden in her boot would be a great weapon for a thief.. aslo I wanted to stay away from the obvious dagger(s) as far as theives go.):

I actually really liked the ending, even though it meant no more Conquest. It was kind of sad, and definitely dark. Better than a happy ending, and the shadow priests were actually damn scary.
Anyway, on topic, I think that Taja's mixed prowess is probably a result of inconsistent writing - when they needed someone to get knocked around, it was her. I think the worst ass-kicking she got was from Siro at the beginning of the series though. One hit and she was down for a whole fight scene.

Technically that was not suppose to be the end of the series only the season, unfortunately TNT decided not to fund a planned second season and when they offered it to SciFi they refused. The rumor is that the Elder Gods were suppose to step in and change everything since Kahn broke the rules.
