Like The Nerditorium points out in his video, https://youtu.be/HvlIG9Auy_k , this harrassing of the MK reboot team is uncalled for.

There are TONS of Mortal Kombat characters. They all are iconic in their own right.

Would you rather have another Mortal Kombat Annihilation where characters were just thrown in there to be killed off? What justice is that doing to ANY character.

We all have our favorite characters. We all have our preference for the story. We all have this or that. We can't all be pleased.

NONE OF THE MORTAL KOMBAT MEDIA, FROM TJB TO LEGACY, have accurately reflected the games. Yet fans kome back for more. A new fan is born everyday; a new fan is introduced to Mortal Kombat every day.

Mortal Kombat isn't about egos. It's about fans coming together to enjoy something in common.

The entire MK universe is skewed. The story was always convoluted from the start. No one expected Mortal Kombat to survive this long. Along the way, different people from all walks of life have found something they like about Mortal Kombat, whether it was its lore, its characters, its violence, its sex appeal in MK9, its horror appeal in MKX/MK11, its secrets, all those glitches and bugs, the shit ton of rumors, the shit ton of trolls insisting this or that was in the game (Am I the only one to have played as Ermac in MK1... j/k), its marketing, its music, its merchandise, its stages, its charms like Kid Thunder & Fergality, its humor, etc.

Before you judge, wait to see something solid, like a trailer. Alot of people hate on MK11 but they are still making updates on it. They are a small majority. So are the haters to this film. Movies aren't that expensive where you can't give alittle to help something made by the same studio who makes your beloved games. The MK reboot team deserve your patience and you giving them a chance. They're going to make it anyway. They have the funds to buy the tickets without filling the seats. They have James Wan attached for crying out loud. James Fucking Wan.

There's nothing bad about what they are doing. As Russo said himself, this is The Avengers of the MCU. In order to fully tell the whole story of MK it needs its Cinematic Universe. It's long overdue.

A lot of the people who are harrsing them are the diehard fans that can’t accept change

Sadly the changes and deviations are minimal, think more supplementary than anything. Too many people are dead set on specific tropes and can't look past them... we never know much about Liu Kang. He was a monk from the White Lotus Society who resembles Bruce Lee - pretty much all we knew when MK1 game out. Further games very briefly expanded his bio.

I will add that Greg Russo is a genius with this script. Everything works so well. Both in keeping true to Mortal Kombat and to the rules of cinema. It's literally going to keep you on the edge of your seat, clinging to every word, you'll laugh, you'll be in suspense, in awe, you'll even be terrified, but excited.

there a rule when dealing with a franchise and movie you just cater to one audience or that movie will be bad

Yes! This caters a lot to action and even horror fans too, although the media reports claim action-fantasy.

Well said.

It's like DC fans and SW fans. I actually enjoy the latest trilogy, and enjoy the DC movies for what they are - fun, popcorn flicks. So many people were upset at Last Jedi coz "it doesn't feel like a SW film". It's a film that actually reflects the world the novels always suggested. Ep6 was messy if we're honest, Luke was winey, the plot wishy washy. Ep1 - 3 was a good story poorly told. Rogue One and Solo were good for the story they told.

No one is forcing people to watch the new movie - no one is forcing people to D/L Terminator, Joker, Spawn, etc. in the new game. If you make a game or movie or TV show ONLY for the die hards, your movie will bomb. You need to bring in new interest, new fans, new eyes.
