lol are you guys forgetting that this movie or whatever is suppose to capture the idea of MK being in the REAL world...so it only makes sense that he would be wearing a fur coat..because thats what real people do lol...you dont see a subzero randomly dressed up in a blue ninja outfit like "hey lets fight" lmao

But he still has the powers of ice, so obviously it's not completely grounded in reality. He's still gonna enjoy and embrace the cold. So it doesn't make sense that he'd want to get warmer.
And it's still a blue ninja outfit, if you look at it carefully.

He does have a bit of precedent for wearing an outfit with a fur lining. Remember his Deception primary costume? There was a fur collar on that.

As for why he wears it in the webseries, it could be standard for the Lin Kuei operating in the cold climate to have the fur on their uniform. If I recall, some of the generic Lin Kuei warriors Taven pounds the shit out of in Armageddon also wore fur.

I like the aesthetic of it. It definitely gives off the vibe that he resides in one of the coldest regions of the country, while being very clearly a "Sub-Zero" look.

Oh, it's definitely better than the Deception outfit. More subtle, and all. The aesthetics of fur, I love. And yeah, it suits a warrior who fights in the cold.

I guess I shouldn't complain. I always say that sometimes style is more important than practicality.
Like the new Batmobile, that thing might be designed practical, but it's ugly as hell. The classic batmobile, from the Keaton movies was awesome.

I like it. Looks like its going for a more realistic feel, sorta like Nolan's Batman movies...

second off, I like the design except the fur. He's loves the cold why would he need fur? the only fur i thought was acceptable was this:


because that costume was fucking awesome and I miss it, Seriously that blue skin was epic and it made him look more like a necromancer, all he needed in that was the frozen cryomancer arms. But this look looks like it would fit the first SZ better than the current one, because its darker and has more black in it.

That is a pretty damn awesome look for Sub-Zero!!!

The fur on his outfit really gives him a new look that fits his abilities. Just because he had ice powers doesn't mean he can't wear a jacket. Hell my friend LOVES the cold, but he still wears a jacket.

I think it's logical in the sense that Subby's fellow Lin Kuei would be piling on the fur. It's prolly just a standard issue uniform type thing. He's just representing his clan.

It looks pretty good, but I'm not entirely sure if I like that armour stuff around his neck, and I don't think I like the hood. It looks like he's wearing some big baggy clothing meant for cold weather, so the stealthy skin-tight hood doesn't really go with it. I would've rather seen one that looked more like his MK1 hood.

Other than that, it looks like he wears something similar to his traditional clothes plus a little bit of fur. I love the mask, it seems to adopt his modern style. I don't really know what else to say. I'll be looking foward to seeing this in action, and I might take back the bad things I said about it.
