Pretty cool, i like the realistic approach they took with it. Sub Zero definitely looks like a master of cold here, like he is prepared to survive the harshest weather.

I agree with people sayin he's suppose to, if not love the cold, at least be totally unaffected by it. However, I'd hate to see Sub Zero be depicted like Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze here, so to me this look is appropriate and looks pretty badass at the same time.

And not to derail the thread, but hockey playing minions are the most non intimidating minions there are. the circumstances where they would be effective are just so insanely specific. God forbid the fight not take place on a frozen lake or something.

The press release didn't state that. I don't espect it to be apart of the MK2011 continuity, but I did expect them to follow established canon/

After a shitty day at work, THIS is something to make things better. Sub-Zero looks fucking awesome, and I'm really glad that they aren't having him as a cyborg. The fur is a nice touch to his MK: Deception primary costume, and it's cool that his mask is like the one from his MK: Deadly Alliance alternate costume. The only thing missing is his kabuto from MK: Deception and then it'll be "Watch out for Shredder!"....I mean....Sub-Zero.

Seriously looks amazing.. The fur I think is a nice touch, as Sub-Zero is still a human.. will still be affected by the cold. Just not as much as normal people.. i think its the evolution of Sub-Zero that sees him like the cold. This is a young Sub Zero.

If it does take place in ancient Japan, I would actually be okay with that.. it means Scorpion has suffered and plotted and been tortured in the pits of hell for 500 years or so.. not just 5 minutes. That is what MK: Conquest did with them.. it was a rivalry started in ancient times.. which therefore made more sense when they teamed together in the movie. Deadliest of rivals.
