Yeah I would love Tim Burton to be the director but then would he be able to direct good fight scenes which would be vital to the movie. Quentin Tarintino and Tim Burton would make an awesome film. But theres no chance in that happening,

now tim burton is good for story plots and scripts but i dont think he can direct fight scenes all too well, look at batman and batman returns!, and c'mon whats more important in mk than the fights?

I think Tim could be good and Quentin Tarantino. How about John Woo? He can capture story as well as put together some good action. If not Mr. Woo then maybe Bryan Singer(Superman, X-Men, Usual Suspects). But John would be my 1st choice.

Guillermo del Toro. He'd pretend the first 2 pieces of crap didn't even exist and start over and actually make it follow the game storyline. He'd handle the fight scenes much better too. There were only 2 decent fight scenes in the first movie (out of like... 9).. Del Toro would make every fight scene actually watchable.

Yeah,And Paris Hilton should play Sonya!!!!!! (being Sarcastic)
Honestly, what's Tim Burton going to do with a Mortal Kombat movie? Have a bunch of monkeys go wild? Or maybe he'll have the Boogy Man play some dice? Or how about having Jonny Depp as every character? He'll make a worse movie than part 2!

About Me
Wait. DeathScepter is hunting Scorpion ninjas? Oh s***! Time to change my hobby lol

What about the fight choreographer from Jet Li's "The One"? you gotta admit those were some wild fights. I think he could do the mortal kombat fights justice
Man, I'd forgotten about the one. That was a truly terrible film with some damned awesome fights. I'd agree he'd make a pretty good coreographer.
Keep in mind though, that often the director isnt' the fight coreographer, he's just the guy who decides how to film it. In fact, the coreography in the first two MK movies wasn't terrible, it was the way that coreography was shot and cut that was so bad. In my opinion, at least.
Oh, and the Wachowski brothers are jackasses who are hailed for oringinality and genius based on ideas stolen form Nueromancer, Akira, Ghost in the shell, and a couple other anime.

I think the ideal MK movie would have to be directed by Guillermo Del Toro, written by David S. Goyer, and have the fights choreographed by Yuen Wo Ping. And it MUST be rated R. MK was a breakaway hit because of the cool characters and the gore, the two movies featured only the characters and NO GORE!

I think the fights should be done by Cory Yuen or Donnie Yen. No disrespect to Wo Ping, but I would just prefer those two. The script should be written by David Goyer. He has written some decent stuff lately.
