The comparison from Goro to Onaga is that the audience would rather see a big powerful creature than the human form. Not to say its unlogical, but even though Goro didn't have a human form, if he did would you have thought that Johnny Cage was gonna get slaughtered before they fought? Probably not...and even though Onaga has a human form in the MK story he's in reptile's dragon king form so it would only be right to make him that way in the movie. Plus I wanna see how they will do with that. Will they remake an animatronic puppet like Goro or will it be some piece of crap CGI? You make the call.

I think he meant Onaga's Original body, we don't know that his Original body is human, but its a good guess....

wow wow wow hold up i know its in the mk story but if i remember correctly in mk1 reptile was just a radioactive lizard in a way so how could onaga use his body lol i mean all ths is crazy and i no wat im talkin about becoz improbably one of the biggest reptile fan

Onaga doesn't HAVE a human form. He never did, he never will. This is what Reptile's "Kard" from the MKD bonus disc says:

The warrior known as Reptile had served Shao Kahn not knowing that the Emperor had destroyed his home realm of Zaterra. Many years later, Reptile's body was possessed by the soul of the Dragon King and was transformed to resemble the former ruler of Outworld.

So there you have it. The way Onaga now looks is exactly like he did before his death. There was no "human Onaga" at any point in the storyline, ever.

Sorry for causing all this conflict, so maybe I can resolve it. In Sindel's Ending for Deception she impales the former body of Onaga in his tomb through the heart so his spirit cannot re-enter it once they cease his control of Reptile. The images clearly show the Dragon King in the background struggling, with the first Onaga in the foreground. I am semi-sure this means Onaga is dead, since his heart was ripped apart by Sindel. Then again, which Ending can you believe in Mortal Kombat?

Since creating Reptile for Shaolin Monks, I cannot picture a Reptile any further unevolved than he was in Deadly Alliance. Unless he gets down on all fours, that Reptile was as lizardry as they come. It will be cool to see how they improve on that. I also can't see the comparison between Goro and Onaga. Goro is Shokan and the Dragon King is human, even in his Reptile body.

ohhhh i had it all mixed from all the different endings on MK:DA and MK:D but that sort of straightens it out

This is where you're wrong. Onaga (the Dragon King) is a dragon, not a human.

As I posted earlier, Onaga's soul is in Reptile's body - but his soul is so powerful that it has made Reptile's body resemble Onaga's actual body (which again, is a dragon, not a human).

The Dragon King is not really a dragon, just the result of Onaga and Reptile combining. He is still human because his soul was in a human originally. Changing forms does not alter his soul.

I get your point, but reptile is not a dragon, He is more like a lizard. The body Sindel stabs is probley a dragon body, thats why they call him the Dragon King. It never said the body was Human.

*Flashback* Oh yeah, Onaga was in that egg when Reptile was fused with his soul. I guess he originally was a dragon

! But not a dragon-dragon like Liu Kang's Animality, sort of a half-dragon, like Reptile. Not that I'm saying Reptile's a dragon, I never did. But maybe becoming the Ruler of Outworld does things to you, like Shao Kahn. He's got red eyes and all that predictable MK evilness, like Dark Raiden. I can't imagine the exact point their eyes turn red

. Hopefully the return of Noob Saibot as Ruler of the Netherrealm will bring a whole new concept of him, but not too far off from his typical darkened suit.

Correct me if im wrong but reptile can morph into any reptile form there for he could become a dragon because in chinese history dragons were known as reptillian beasts

Reptile's a dinosaur from Earth (raptor); they became humanoid and intelligent and escaped into a realm called Zaterra that Kahn took over.

It's implied that because Onaga was reptilian, and Reptile's body was already undergoing heavy changes ("devolving") his body became the perfect "host" for Onaga's soul. That's why Reptile's body was basically 100% transformed to resemble Onaga's.

Dragon King's race is a dragonic humaniod(dragon like human) but he is not a true human.

Reptile's race is a Raptor(dinosaur like human) so it is easier for Dragon King to possess a genetic similar species than a disimilar one.
