I've read every one opinions and they all make good points. But don't we need to see how Onaga was before being poisoned by Kahn to pass judgment on how he should look in the movie. In Raidens ending in MKDA I think this was Onaga in his origional body, before they altered it to look like a mix ot Oger and True Oger. His humanoid fact stuck out from what look like a dragon hood. It looked more humanoid than the Dragon King on MKDA .

That is possilby the reason Midway changed him. But that is what I think. The last thing I have to say is, he ain't called the "Dragon King" for looking human.

This is the story, long ago when Onaga ruled Outworld (he was a dragon), Shao Kahn was a servant to him. Kahn wanted to rule Outworld, so he gave Onaga a poisined drink and he died. Kahn then became emperor. Then in MK:DA, Reptile was looking for Nitara and Cyrax in the place with the dragon egg which we kno is guarded by Blaze. But Blaze was set free, and Reptile put his eyes on the dragon egg, which was unguarded. Then the dragon egg cracked and a beam shot out of it and into Reptile and Reptile became the new Dragon King. and I believe the other guys that onaga in a human form would b like goro in a human form.
