3. Hundreds of movies have topped this it could have been a lot better.

To be honest... I think both Mortal Kombat movies are shithouse and should be happily forgotten... they tarnish the Mortal Kombat series. Poor acting, poor special effects, poor everything.

If they had've actually followed the story of the games the movies could've been brilliant...

I didn't mind the movie too much to be honest. It gave a little further in depth to the story we have all grown to love. I still wish there was something complete with the story from front to back either in book or movie or whatever. But this will have to do.

The Special FX aren't too bad in the first one because they didn't try a whole lot of stuff like the terrible Animalities and stuff like that. they made Kitana look "weak" yes, but perhaps thats how she was supposed to be portrayed? Queen Sindel was good until she was killed and brought back to service Shao Khan, so Kitana would have techinally been raised to be mellow and more "princess" like as she was in the movie. I actually just watched both of these with my girlfriend about 2 nights ago which is why I thought I'd give my 2 cents on this topic.

Except Kitana was not raised that way in the games.

Yeah, that is true, well maybe they just wanted to have a good looking chick play Kitana since Bridget Wilson isn't anything special. However, from watching interviews and stuff, Ed and the other developers were on set during the filming but didn't have much say in what went down, so maybe they were trying to "Hollywood" it up? I personally didn't have a problem with the way Kitana was in the movies, it added more of a story to it with her and Liu having a relationship IMO. Either way Talisa Soto is smoking :) haha

Video Games are meant to have characters that are fighters. So, naturally, in the games Kitana was raised as an assassin.

The movie requires characters to have a story. So, naturally, Kitana was given a more appropriate background in the movie.


Also, Bridgette Wilson is hotter than Talisa Soto.

Talisa is hottest girl in both movies........
