I think it would be awesome if they did that, but they would have to do it right and make the special effects all cool and not make the fatality look all gay and stupid. good idea!

Peace Out

I know I've said it before but there's a rumor that when the 1st MK movie was being made it was set to be an "R" feature. In the original script Fatalities WERE supposed to be included in the movie but were cut when it was changed to a lower rating - so they could get more viewers. In the demonstration scene with Subz freezing that unfortunate fighter, well he was originaly going to freeze him, then perform his head-rip fatality. Also Scorpion was set to fight someone and impale a fighter w/ his spear. What gives it some possibilty is that Scorpion can be seen leading out the fighters w/ Sub Zero, but then doesn't participate in the demonstration. Also there is a rumor that when Art Lean is killed by Goro there was supposed to be a graphic fatality.

Anyway....

Back to your question: Yes, I'd love to see them because it is a HUGE part of the game and really should be there, but probably wont be because of them wanting to have younger viewers watch (and pay for) the movie. Maybe they should release two versions on DVD, normal and directors cut..... hey that's even more revenue!

Fatalities would have been great. But New Line was aiming for a PG-13 rating so all the kids could go see it.

At least we got some makeshift Fatalities. Shang Tsung's soul steal, Scorpion's toasty, the Pit all in part one and then we got Sonya's Kiss of Death in part two.

Since Mortal Kombat isn't as popular among EVERYONE like it used to be I wouldn't rule out Fatalities and an R rating for the next movie.

I want an R rating for the next movie. Lots of blood and fatalities. I was dissapointed by not seeing much blood and no fatalities in the first, but the first movie was entertaining, the second just sucked.

I like it when they are put in with a clever thought in mind.. like Sonya's KOD, that was great. The special effects dept. is what I am worried about just a little..... either make it big or DONT DO IT.
