I was a bit disappointed. I was like 9 years old and even back then I thought it looked hella-cheap. Sub-Zero was scrawny and weak looking, and I doubt Shao Kahn under his mask is just some bald guy...more like a wierdo I'd guess (seeing how he has a mask on all the time). And I don't remember Shao Kahn having an animality that was some kinda huge freak. And Raiden with a haircut??? "What the hell?" is what I was thinking. I gave it a bad review...even though I have seen worse movies.

I felt disappointed. I had been so excited to see it after seeing the first movie, and it just let me down.

I was saying that people who were new to Mortal Kombat wouldn't know his storyline though and it confused them *I personally never liked Scorpion, so his storyline never appealed to me. I didn't care why he was in the movie at the time, so I never thought of it*...

I was like "How long ago did the movie end?" because I was asleep.

I saw in the theaters, the first time i saw it was great, i saw rain, Shoa Kahn, motaro the cyber ninja's...

And when i watched a second time in the theaters i almost cried, the plot holes and errors were more visible than the first time

My reaction when I finished watching MKA was that if it wasnt for this movie I could never appreciate Batman and Robin (which was trash)

I was in fourth grade too, but man, I was horrified.
Just as soon as they killed Cage, I was in shock the whole movie, the fights were cool, but too brief, Scorpion screaming "suckers!" with no explanation or answer, man that just sucked.
Cyrax was cool though, the rest of the movie was trash.
An Brian Thompson didnt look like a ruthless ruler, he lookd like a goddamn white gorilla with an armor.
Oh yeah, I also laughed my ass off at the stage props.

when i first saw smoke and cyrax i thought it was the best movie ever....then it just got old and then i was about to kill myself when i realized how bad it was

Ermac was one of Shao Kahn's main generals (which is a plot hole itself) and was in the main battle at the end against Sonya. Sounds like a pretty important role/character.

However...does anyone remember them actually saying the name "Ermac" or calling him by his name at anytime during the movie? They never reveal the yellow robot was Cyrax and never revealed that the girl in the mask that Sonya fought in the mud was Mileena. Unless you were a Mortal Kombat diehard, how in the holy hell were you supposed to follow this movie? Even if you are a diehard it's hard to enjoy this movie because of the plotholes.

I have no clue who they made this movie for. It wasn't for diehards and it definately wasn't for casual viewers. Anyone have a clue?

I saw the first one in the theatres and I loved it (it was the first and only time I saw the first movie...I'm dying to see it again)

now the strange part, I never heard of anything about mka until the day (4 or 5 years ago)I was watching tv and then puff, the film starts, I was like "WTF?? cool! another mortal kombat movie!"

when the film ended, I was like "wait, this wasn't supposed to happen! the film wasn't supposed to be like this! wait! there's still hope!"

I threw myself out of the window hoping the horrible movie would be just a nightmare...poor me...I broke both arms and then a car ran over me crippling me...no more superman stunts for me...

seriously I was like "worst 90 mins of my life"

Screamed into a pillow when I saw sheeva get killed. Couldn't stop laughing at Raiden.

I couldn't believe how much they fucked this movie up. Everything from the fake visuals, bad acting, Shao Kahn looking like a pussy and listening to Shinnok, the bad fight scenes, the animality fight at the end(WTF was all that, was it needed?). Sub Zero and Scorpion didnt have huge roles and Scorpion working for Kahn? Yeah, okay. Smoke using Sektors missle, Subby's ice looked fake, I can go on and on and on. This was horrible.

I was shocked beyond disbelief that they allowed this piece of donkey-doo to come out of the studio. Plot holes were EvERYWHERE, Horrible acting and dialouge, the animality scene was worse than any lame power ranger movie I've ever even thought about seeing.

I was in denial after I saw what they did to Jade (not even the killing her off part, just what they did to the whole character in general).

... Then I complained to my friend about it and she had no idea what I was talking about.

I was a very little kid, I loved it.

I was amazed.

Then I started to dislike the crap very much, BUT I never hated it, and I still dont hate it.

I remember I was fourteen and with my dad, we laughed more than anything because it was so stupid. He and I kept whispering to each other and laughing at the horrible acting and.. lack of a story.

My dad was like "that was no Christopher Lambert!", "they killed off the funniest character in the first five minutes." and "that woman wasn't as pretty as the one who played the soldier in the first one. what happened to her hair??"

I was also mad because they ruined another one of my favourite characters -- Jade, and they killed off Cage, the true comic relief of that movie, and those of you who know me know how much I hated the replacements for Wilson and Lambert.

and I have only seen that movie twice. bwaha

Almost everyone here has the same reaction. I saw the movie and thought it was okay but could have had been better.

I saw it dubbed in Vietnamese with my parents. Seriously.

I rewatched it in English and realized they made so many bad translations. Example: "Kitana, I have lost everything, and I'm not going to lose you too." was translated as "I am missing all my stuff, and you will not be another dead body."

"WTFx2 was that?!"

My first reaction in the theatre, taking my girlfriend to see it with me because "OMG it's the new MK movie! It's got Scorp vs Sub-Zero omg it'll pwn!":
