Originally, the movie was going to be based on MK4.

I don't think they should follow MKDA or MK4. They should just make their own story that is similar to the two.

Liu Kang needed to be removed from the game but not the movie. Movies tend to suck when they replace main characters with new ones.

They should throw Kung lao in the trash.. Remember the series on Superstation? He was the main character their. Get a new script. I think that it should be like the video games... and they should comebine ideaz with each other like one guy was saying about the lin keau clan, good people, sonyaz forcez etc. like all fighting each other trying to bring down the dragon king...!! but the ninja clan is helping out the dragon king!

You know what you guys are really weired with those responses. I asked b/c I think the movie should follow MKDA b/c MKA already followed MK4.

Yeah, MKA was about Shinnok and his sorceror quan chi, destroy the gods and battle agaisn't Rayden's forces.

Hey I don't like that sarcasm. The last 3rd of MKA followed MK4 b/c Shinnok was in it and when Kahn was defeated Shinnok got sent to the underworld. That's how it followed MK4!

Well too bad! It was all about Kahn invading earth behind the gods back, Liu Kang kicks his tail, and everybody's happy!
Shang Tsung and Kano aren't in there, but that doesn't mean it isn't based on MK3.

I've always heard that there was suppose to be an additional scene at the end of MKA....leaving a cliff hanger ending....With Quan Chi, bringing Shinnock back from the neverrealm....However you wouldn't want that now cos quite frankly the MK4 story sucked......

I think they Should follow MKDA because it kills luikang and throws an interesting twist to the series. KL should get his place as top character.

Yeah... MKA did follow somewhat of MK4. With the Shinnok part. Shinnok helped Kahn to invade.

I personally liked some of MK4's story.

They should (will) base it on MK: Mythologies: Sub-Zero

they shoudn't put him in because he is from way bfore lui kang was born but it would be cool if he was in it ecspecialy because of his hat throw

i hope you guys didn't forget that there are two kung laos in the mortal kombat series.
but anyway,they should keep liu kang the main character and have the decendant kung lao join liu kang.


also if i had my way with the movie i would bring shao kahn back along with shinnok,shang tsung,quan chi and all of the great characters that died in the sequal.

and since they screwed up mortal kombat with mka,i would write a script saying that rain had a brother that will replace him and that the lin kuei recovered cryax saying that the fight he was involved in was a test and then they reprogram him to assasinate sub-zero.

then i would say that the smoke we saw wasn't the human smoke turned robot which will bring in human smoke and if i could,have him kidnapped and turned into the cyborg.

then,i would create a small storyline saying that shao khan was painfully transformed into his true form as he entered the netherrealm along with sinnok since in the first movie he looked like a demon and in the second he looked stupid and human.

I would totally get mad if Liu Kang was again the hero. HE MUST DIE!

BTW, MKA did had some of Mk4 with Shinok in it. It was based more on Mk3 though.

Just like Mk the original movie, it had some of Mk2 (Kitana, and the way they traveled to Outworld, and Kahn).

I have hopes this third movie will be based on MKDA, it can happen.

Actually no.
By saying that, you contradict yourself because MK4's story is not about Shinnok helping Shao Kahn to invade the earth and being sent to the nether realm. Infact, that would be something to happen BEFORE MK4. So you pretty much got EVERYTHING wrong.

i think it would be cool to have subzero as the new main character b/c it would be different to have a ninja as the main character instead of another monk

I think that they should follow a different story with either Scorpion or Sub-Zero as main characters and the story should be about either of them when they were still in their ninja clans.

they should mention about them or see a flashback when they were in there ninja clans b/c that might fit since scorpion thinks sub killed his clan n that that wuz in mk4, but the whole story shouldnt b about that

Not really. Cause Shinok was SUPPOSED TO BE CAPTURED IN HELL for like, billions of years. By putting him in the movie, and ending Shinok the way they did, they could do 2 things:

1-Kill him. Leave it all there and forget about the god. (Most likely)
2-Use him again.

Oh, and BTW, a MK movie like the previous based on Sub and Scorpion would totally suck! To do that they MUST do another separate movie that talks only about them and no hell invasion happening. Scorpion and Sub are cool and all, but in the movies they arent strong points.

Actually I think that it would be a good movie to tell a story about scorpion and subzero. I know that many fans have different favorite characters but it was only a opinion. Not that there going to do it. I honestly feel that I would like to see a movie based on the MKDA before I see a movie of scorpion and subzero which would probably still be cool.

Kung Lao would make a better main character than Liu Kang, thats for sure.

I was thinking Kung Lao would make a good new main character in the next movie. I think it's possible that since he wasn't in MKA, the makers of MKDA have made him the most important character b/c they probably want him to definitely be in the 3rd movie this time. But then who knows? I also think having Kung Lao as the main character should make up for him not being in MKA.
