Quan Chi is officially back this month -- the next kombatant to become fully playable in Mortal Kombat 1. In the latest Kombat Pack gameplay trailer he's joined by future Kameo Fighter Khameleon. Can anyone escape the dark sorcerer's reach? Watch for yourself:

Quan Chi has always been a master of dark & sinister arts, but his reach spans farther than ever before as his new play style incorporates the tentacles of something resembling Lovecraftian old gods! Magic skulls nibble at foes while Quan stomps on opponents with nimble toes, but the coup de grace of his new glass slide fatality is what's really awaiting study!

Quan Chi had a significant role in Mortal Kombat 1's story mode, but is now fleshed out as a fully playable character, and the downloadable fighter will enter Early Release for premium Kombat Pack holders starting December 14th, before going wide to digital stores December 21st -- just in time for Kwanza! (Or is that Quanza..?).

Sharp-eyed fans will have noticed Khameleon mingling amongst the Outworld Umgadi, in Story Mode, as well. As the next DLC Kameo Fighter she calls back to her days as a Nintendo exclusive NPC, wielding the colors and skills of the arcade female palette swaps to assist with Kitana's fans, Jade's staff, and more! The returning cult-favourite will be released January, 2024.
