Yeah I really dislike D’vorah.
Im not okay with her killing Scorpion.
She is not worthy.
This one really likes to piss people off
I love Scorpion, Mileena, and Baraka.
I ain't even mad. Besides, death doesn't mean shit in MK
Is this because of the people she kills? Because you know if NRS were playing by their own in universe MK rules instead of nonsensically trying to make death actually matter in this series all of a sudden; then the death of the person she kills who has you all fired up should mean fuck all. But again, Netherrealm studios doesn't understand how the Netherrealm or death in general works in MK.
I honestly think she's a really cool villain. To bad I can't really go any deeper than surface level with her though because the writing and NRS's new approach to characters, lore and story telling is atrocious and it feels like a waste of time to care anymore.
Even less reason now that they have introduced the concept of an authoritarian mother of creation who has control over space and time.
D'Vorah rocks
She's a terrible character with little to no understandable objective until this game, and even then she feels like she is just some NRS designer's fetish put into character. Maybe next time we see her she will be laying eggs inside Shao Kann or barfing up bugs into Jade's mask, or having really grotesque shots of her stepping on some food for good measure, just to make sure they can stop jerking off to her long enough to do something interesting with generic bug girl.

I always thought D'Vorah is alright, but since the OP mentions it (probably should put "spoiler" in the title) yeah, at that point in Story Mode, I was seriously hoping Scorpion would Toasty! her.
That's gotta happen. Or something

One more thing: I am seemingly in the minority, but I prefer her MKX look - the black lips thing going on, not a fan

D'Vorah is effectively the character that shows up when the writers want to kill someone. The shock value of it was ok in MKX I guess, but it got too predictable.
Why? Since she kills Hanzo? Put it like this way, anyone who messes with Scorpion gets their comeuppence in the end. Just ask Bi-Han and Quan Chi. Scorpion is the most popular character in the game and he will be back no matter what. I just hope that he will not revert back to the tired and trite vengeance for my family and clan storyline again.
NRS likes D'Vorah but I do not think the fans think the same way. I think sooner or later she will get killed off, probabaly with Scorpion doing it. She is a person non grata anyway. Earthrealm and Outworld do not like her.
The ending left it fluid for the future of the story. The only thing I would worry about is Scorpion going back to his previous storyline when Hanzo was such a great breath of fresh air for the character.
People are taking deaths in MK waaay too seriously lol. Everyone comes back eventually. I wonder why we even like it so much lol.
It was a shocking moment and that's what made it good but I get it. Maybe someone else should take that spotlight. With all this time travel, I was hoping to see Bi-Han. And not Noob but actual Bi-Han, the original Sub-Zero. Maybe not to kill Hanzo exactly but at least a confrontation between Hanzo, Kuai Liang and Bi-Han would be nice. I love D'Vorah though, maybe not for killing Hanzo but at the end it didn't really matter did it.

If they are, it's only because NRS is. If they weren't then why did Quan Chi's death have any weight in MKX. Why would it matter? All Scorpion basically did was send him home. So all that really should have happened was D'Vorah would run back into the shadows and Sonya would justifiable punch Scorpion calling him an idiot and rally the troops to go right back into the Netherrealm and get him back.

Character wise, yeah she's basically bug Tanya. But I think outside of NRS's flimsy cluster fuck writing she's probably the best character to come out of their new batch design and gameplay wise.

Really? From what I've gathered she's pretty much the most liked of the new characters. And I'm not just talking about what I've seen here.
I really don't get why anyone cares that Scorpion died when right in front of him was a incarnation of him that was a undead hellspawn lol. I mean hello people!

NRS keeps trying to make D'Vorah happen. She's just NOT gonna happen. I feel like they're so proud of her, but she's not all that.
THIS ONE needs to go away forever.

They keep trying to make her happen? Uh wut? Cassie, Jacqui, Erron Black? All wafer thin characters who are as bland tofu; two of which have no justifiable reason to be in these games when they are lesser version of preestablished characters in the same games with them. Actually I think that argument now goes for gimmick stealing Erron as well. Yet people are saying D'Vorah is the one they are trying to force?
Is this sudden feverish hate against D'Vorah all from her killing Scorpion? The character who started out as a dead man and stayed that way for 9 entries? This is really what is turning people against her?

Shao Kahn did nothing wrong
D'Vorah is hands down the best new character they came up with design wise and gameplay. The bug theme along with the quips and quirks are all great. However, I do hate how they're kinda shoe horning her into things like the whole Jerrod thing. That's just stupid. Let her grow into her own naturally instead of doing dumb crap like that. I want to see more of her but they have to think of better ways of introducing her and her goals.

Oh come on people. I love Scorpion just as much as the next person but I also really like D'Vorah. She is truly a great villiness in the series and proves how deadly she can be. No character is immune to death. Look what happened to almost everyone in MK 2011. She saw an opportunity in Hanzo being distracted and used it to her advantage.

No, Takeda is probably the most liked of the new characters. I have seen plenty of hate for D'vorah even before MK11. In MK11 D'Vorah will probably be one of the least played characters.

Really? Because across the internet I have seen the majority loving her and giving a passive meh to Takeda and the rest of the combat kids. Hell in most coverage I saw of MKX Takeda was often used as everyone's punching bag.
