I was a Kitana MKII main myself.

I don’t mind her just surprised with all the harassment Ed gets. Not sure if legit or it’s become a meme.

For me Mileena isn't hugely popular but the reason I keep asking for Mileena is because I feel if you have Kitana in the game it is better to also included Mileena. To me it is about not having one without the other. They need to be a pair and I know there have been games that featured only one or the other and they were not that huge in popularity. Kitana and Mileena both debuted in MKII. They both returned in UMK3 - MK Trilogy. In MK Gold they were also both included. For the 3D era they were not in both Deadly Alliance or Deception together. They may have been in Deception Unchained but I cannot remember but it wasn't until Armageddon until they were both back in the game together. Since the reboot and its sequel they've both been in the game together. Sure in MKX storyline Mileena was killed by D'Vorah but what if Mileena's ending could be somewhat cannon? So for me I cannot have one without the other, it just feels incomplete.

I feel the same way about Reptile. He is a very popular character and he is the only missing fighter other than Goro from the original game not playable in MK11. He's been in almost every game that both Scorpion and Sub-Zero has appeared in since his playable debut in MKII and even non-playable debut in the original game. The original MK3 and Deception are the only games in which Reptile does not appear unless you count Deception's Konquest mode. So again just like Kitana and Mileena should be in the game together I believe if Sub-Zero and Scorpion are in the same game together Reptile also needs to be included. Maybe that is why Reptile wasn't in the original MK3. There was no Scorpion in MK3, it wasn't until its update that he and Reptile appeared. So it sort of makes sense.

Anyway. I love Mileena. She's my #2 in MKX.

I don't understand why people are so upset Mileena is not in MK11. I basically accepted this fact when D'Vorah killed her in story mode. That was NRS telling everyone "hey don't expect her back until MK12." Deal with it... just like I dealt with Noob and Jade's absence in MKX.

MKDA did fine without Mileena in it. MKD did fine without Kitana in it. They don't ALWAYS have to be attached to the hip with the same god damn story line about each other over and over and over again. Okay okay we get it! Warring twin sisters. Blah blah blah. I stopped giving a crap about that when MK9 destroyed (as in ruined) the old canon.

I thought Mileena's maw is different yet similar in MK11 from MKX because this Mileena is in fact a clone, (but her MKX ending ain't canon?) which i hope isn't the case. The full on hideous side (like the tongue too) makes her popular to fans, against my will.

I started out on MK2 myself. Mileena got her population from the MK9 fanbase. She has more of a diva, mysterious side to her character and remember how less clothing was a thing back in the day. Im not much of a fan of the her, but I understand why folks like her.

I liked Stryker as much as Jax. He has that "what round do you want me to beat your ass?" mentality. He was hated in the MK3 days, cuz of how annoying he was to play against, by using just a pistol fullscreen and baton up close. Everyone took realism and gore too seriously back then. Hes that you either love him or hate him character now. Mileena has a similar trend cuz parts of the fanbase going crazy.

Mortal kombat is full of casuals and modern starters now, that come in and out of the community like a MacDonalds drive thru. When MKvsDC came out, did you hear players screaming that Mileena wasn't in that game? You even said that the dead alliance did alright without Mileena in it. After MK9, players cant live without her in another series. Thats how you know her population grew from the netherrealm scene.

Well, first time I played her in MK2 and she was a little bit more fun then Kitana. In MK9 I enjoyed her too like I did in MKX. I hope she has some bite and scratch combos with nice fillers. So.. she was never one of my favorites (Baraka, Sektor and Reptile are mine), but when shepasses a game... I actually missed her. And if Kitana and Jade are in One MK.. she shouldn't pass this one.

LOL. Okay... Maybe where you live and with the people you knew. I remember a shit ton of excitement to see her return in MKD (which was like the MK2 of the 3D era). MKvsDC isn't even worth mentioning considering the limited number of character slots that were available!!!

I buyed Mortal Kombat 2 for SNES when I was 15 years old :/ And I live in Germany which means you can't get a copy of Mortal Kombat 2 because back then the local stores banned every copy. But I got mine and in those times I enjoyed almost every character in Mortal Kombat 2 (specially Baraka and also Mileena).

Is Mileena proud or ashamed of her features? I think she doesn't care. I doubt she still wants to (look like) pose as Kitana now, when she has her own imperial motivations.

Usage-wise in 9 and X, she was near the bottom. I think she's a character people like, but seldom main. 11 doesn't publish their usage data that I know of, so we'll probably never know her adoption rate.

For me it's the fact Mileena occasionally reminds me of a female form of Scorpion (like Boon said), yet still be different. They share that kind of psyche, although I can't put my finger on it (so I see why some say they're alike). They should still be seen as divided as they don't have much in common, besides aspects of their disposition. Scorpion's not as deranged.

Mileena's comparison to Scorpion was more about that Mileena being Kitana's opposite and/or counterpart; because of the whole thing between Scorpion and Sub-Zero. I'm just glad they didn't make Mileena's color yellow. That unfortunate incident instead happened with Tanya.

Personalities aside Kitana and Mileena are a form of being relations, whereas Scorpion and Sub-Zero (as we all know) are known for the deadly rivalry and not being half kinswoman, which is different obviously.

In UMK3 bios Reptile and Jade (the green team) were assigned as a coalition (lead by Jade) with similar instructions to capture Kitana. This is the first time, from what I know, that they reacted/collaborated.

I'm sure Mileena can be changed to have yellow in the outfit in the MK11 customization, which couldn't be done in the past (which is absurd).

Mileena is quite popular and her popularity got a rather.big boost with MKX. Personally, I think ever MK game.should have the playable cast of MK1/2.

As for picking up 3D characters over Mileena, I am really not into bringing those rejects over a classic. I don't understand some of the demands. Yeah I understand some people got into MK through the 3D games and all. But I have seen requests of Dairou people... Dairou!!! Hotaru!!!

I'd take Mileena over any 3D character with the exception of Kenshi. I also think Sareena should have been in this more than Skarlet.

They have a unique design, cool backstories and have so much untapped potential and appeal that will never get reached why?
