There’s a lot locked away till the servers go live. Johnny and Scorpion have 66 Skins each!! Everyone else seems to have around the 60 mark

She seems great so far. Managed a decent 15 hit 1 bar combo for 30 damage. Her strings flow very nicely. Kitanas 2nd fatality is incredible. She guts the opponent, spins on the spot creating a vacuum which plus their intestines out. Really fucking gory lol

Surely you can get banned if you spoil too much? Especially when you make it so easy for them when you put your PSN and Xbox ID as your signature.

Can you play story mode and Krypt or are they locked as well.? How did you get it so early?

If it makes you feel better I'll point my finger to the rest of the characters as well and say overall, the majority of character design is still pretty off or dull.

I think the only characters who have fitting or good designs are Noob Saibot and Kollector.

Kollector actually has a proper Outworld aesthetic and overall looks like a character you would expect to see in an MK game, and Noob Saibot, looks like Noob Saibot. I do wish they had been a bit bolder with his design and gone full grim reaper.

Yeah the retro outfits look great, but I'm not giving this game props for nabbing outfits from a previous MK game.

Also I never said they were exactly the same only that they are practically the same. They are so similar you can hardly differentiate them from one another. Just like the female ninja outfits in MK9. Sure, if you squint you can see the differences in the details, but from a far you can barely tell them apart.

what does that number means or rather what exactly are the skins? are they given desings of clothes (cloth sets?) with hair, or without hair? can you customise those clothes as gear in Injustice 2? i know from a video that you can change something like Johnny's sunglasses, Jade's glaive or Cassie's drone. but i take it those are not parts of the skins, are they? 60 something is really huge number if they are all different.

I was in the game store yesterday (picking up Horizon Zero Dawn complete) and I'm pretty sure they already got everything there, looking at his face. But that store never breaks street dates. They do said that they had the most pre-orders for the Kollectors Edition in comparison to their other stores.

Have to be patient :/ And damn, I can pick up the game when the store opens, but I have to work later that day, so I just can breeze through the game a bit.

The date for unlocking is set at April 22, so hopefully I get to play it a day early, on my off day no less.

Each character has a selection of primary skins (Covering about 90% of their look) and 3 pieces of customizable gear, which change minor details like masks or weapons and can be used with any of their skins. Speaking of the primary skins though - I'm pretty sure a great many of that 60+ count is redundant skins with minor differences.

We've seen Jax using multiple skins that look largely the same, but some have varying details like say a tanktop under his vest, or facial hair (but his tanktop & facial hair aren't part of his customizable gear, so he must have bearded and beardless versions of some of the same skins). Example: In his debut trailer he wore a vest costume and was young and clean shaven, but when Tyler played him on the last Kombat Kast, while he was wearing a similar vest costume, he was old and bearded.

We've seen Johnny Cage using multiple skins that look the same, but some do or don't have the tanktop above his classic spandex pants. Again, tanktop is not one of his gear items, so he must have redundancies in his skins, repeating some in multiple versions both w/ or w/o tanktop (or Jacket for that matter)

The most obvious example is Skarlet. We know from the beta that her hairstyle is tied to her skins, and we've seen screencaps of her using many of the same skins (from the neck down) with differing hairstyles (from the neck up) suggesting she has duplicates which do nothing but change her hair. Above we see a screenshot of her with her pixie cut on a skin which in the beta had the hat. But it's otherwise the same from the neck down. All they did was change her hair from the neck up.

Color variants also count as a different skin in this game. There aren't shaders like injustice had. So if every skin comes in 4 colors... that's 4 for the overall count.

So yes, I'm like 90% sure that most characters will only have about 3 to 6 BASIC skins... and the other 54 variant versions will just be those same skins, with tweaks to the color or small variant details like hair, beards, jackets, etc.

I'm wondering about something. Content is probably locked because of a day 1 patch, right? But as I read, not everyone has internet connection, so they would be locked out of a lot of content. But what if it's just locked with the datestamp? If you would set your console date to a date past the 23rd of April, maybe it would unlock what is now locked?

First, I believe you. But I have a question. How could you unlocked the second fatality? I read about it that the krypt, some other modes and the second fatalities are locked til patch 1. So if you have to unlock the finishers in the krypt and you can only go there with the day one patch.. how could you unlock it?

Hm.. one day before release would be great. But.. I ordered it in the XBox Store and maybve I have to wait til tuesday... Damn..Friday19th, Saturday20th, Sunday21th, Monday 22th... all those days are holidays.. but tuesday I have to work.. THANK YOU NRS! :(
