And I don't particularly like the idea of paying extra for characters that aren't even in the story... or are in the story but are behind a second paywall.

Jin Kazama - Tekken. Also included of course will be a Devil Jin variation.

Master Raven- Tekken. Such an excellent look and I think she'd fit in well with the world of MK11.

Joe- King Of Fighters- Man candy and a badass kick-boxer.

Bad news on that front. If MKX and Injustice 2 are any indication, half of the DLC characters will be guests.

Hard truth- Guests characters probably what keeps this franchise alive in Warner Bros eyes.

A reality we have to just deal with.

Now when you say Jigsaw.. what are you picturing? Because I've seen some differing perspectives on Jigsaw, and some strike me as interesting concepts, while others strike me as downright stupid.

Spawn and an other horror character, and somehowe I think Shredder.

And a couple of premier skins like injustice: Reiko as premier for Shoa-Kahn, and Jean Claude van Dame for Johnny Cage.

How is it hyperbole? Guests characters are a legit REQUIREMENT.

They're not a requirement. They are a marketing gimmick for pretty much every fighter these days. Draws in more casual players and casts a wider net. But it's not a requirement to keep MK or Soul Caliber afloat.

They are a requirement ENFORCED BY WARNER BROS.

NRS has no choice in the matter. They HAVE to include guest characters.

And honestly, the sales of MK9 and MKX would've been way lower if it weren't for the guests.

I don't like them. But they are a requirement and will remain a permeant fixture in the MK franchise.

So...you're telling me that MK9 and MKX are the best selling games of the franchise, SOLELY based on the fact that they had guest characters? Not the insane step up in graphics, gameplay, storytelling, etc.?
