Why does the animation from Sindels' scream look like Sonyas' Kiss of Death?

Other than the fact that both Sindel and Sonya swing their arms, I don't see any striking similarities between the two animations:

Thanks for that!

I was so confused as to why people thought both animations looked the same. They are very different, indeed.

That being said, it looks annoying and bad on Sindel. Her scream should be a straight forward epic mess of a crazy powerful noise. Not that. I don't see how this was necessary.

I like the new flashy look of Sonya's Kiss, but, I hate that (like Sindel's scream) because of that flashy animation it might be super ineffective and punishable.

I am one happy Sindel fan! grin......

As for Jade, I am not liking ANYTHING. I should be stoned for saying that, but there's nothing about her that appeals to me in this game. I LOVED her in MKD, so this breaks my heart.

I'm super happy that you are pleased and excited about Sindel. She has definitely impressed me since the first screenshots of her were revealed. So much glory.

I personally can't wait to try her out. She's in my top 5.

As for Jade, I'm really surprised you still feel that way. I find her to be the best designed of the 3 female ninjas in this game (in terms of looks and appearance).

Her gameplay is already looking fun and great too.

No way...what's wrong? sad

Other than that, I am believing that Sindel doesn't have hair moves.

Actually, there is a (very recent) twitter comment in the official MK Twitter which pretty much confirms she will use her hair.

I'm too lazy to find it, but, is there. Someone asks about Sindel's hair powers and MK replies with a big fat smile. smile

And there is that leak of the specials that confirms at least something regarding a "hair whip".

Yeah lol that was me who asked on twitter :) So ill take it as a yes

Awesome.

She will have hair attacks.

She better.

The new worst X-Ray award is for Jade's.

What about it is it you dislike?

When she hits the pelvis, the flesh should rip apart or something, but nothing happens, I find it too plain.

Indeed, I'd have preferred if we saw the pelvis bone fragment like the spine instead of just seeing the fles do... nothing.

The X-ray itself is cool though, in my opinion. It's nice to see Jade use her staff more. ^^

I can't believe more people agree with this.

The muscle pain is pretty obvious in both hers and Johnny's (one of the best X-rays no doubt) and looks perfect.

Its a breath of fresh air when you see so many bones shattering around. I think its pretty brutal and the impact is great because its different.

I personally love it and wouldn't change it to something else (though I admit it would look even more epic if, after the muscle damage, you see the pelvix breaking for like, a second).

I agree that the X-Ray moves are cool, but I don't see where the muscles are hurting... Do they change colour, do they crack, do they bleed? I don't see it...

its the change in color, it turns red. That indicates the muscle damage if I am not mistaken.

Aren't muscles already red? Maybe it's my colourblindness that prevents me from seeing the changing... Damnit.

Artistically it would imply those are the muscles that hurt.

Muscles do not crack, they tear. Which reminds me, alot of X-ray attacks deal with the bone, some muscle tissue ripping would be good.
