Mind you, I only got MKvsDCU from a bargain bin 2 months after Midway folded.
MKvsDCU also didn't have any alt costumes.

To be fair, the thread is a bit vague. Obviously, it should be known already that you press start to get the costume menu and pick which one you want...what's new info here is you press start again when selecting the costume, to get it in the P2 color.

Does this game have any good alt colors? I've seen that Old Shang's coat is blue instead of red, more MK1-style. That's cool. Any others that aren't just "darker Scorpion" or "Liu in blue pants for no reason"? I am terribly disappointed that neither of Kung Lao's has brown pants.

Kabal's 2P costume is far superior to his 1P costume on his main. Ditto for Johnny Cage's alt. Mileena's purple 2P costumes are also very good.

And many people, myself included, prefer Nightwolf's 2P colours.

Aww, Quan Chi's alt doesn't come in teal.

Alot are simple color changes, but some of them are very cool.
-Jax's primary has his classic purple pants with darker metal arms
-Sonya's alt has urban camo shorts and hat
-for some weird reason Dark Raiden has two different colored eyes
-Smoke's alt has his classic robo smoke indigo
-Reptile's alt is changed to a blue color with greyish green skin. Looks very cool.
-Noob Saibot is a strange purple color, nothing too special but still interesting.
-Stryker receives some good changes, his primary is more replaces the blue with dark grey, and his alt is a bunch of grey's, black and brown. Much better than his standard alt color.
-Nightwolfs alt has a cool design. Grey wolf instead of white, with grey paint as well.

Alot of them are still pretty boring though. Like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and the female and cyber ninjas. Some missed opportunities, like giving Kano a white costume a la MK1, or maybe giving Sonya a lighter green coloration for her primary.

I would love to see kano in white and like RazorsEdge701 I wish quan came in teal.

I think it would be really easy dlc( and affordable) if NRS released a pack of alternate colors for characters.I see this as easy to tweak and cheap. I don't see the ninja's getting color variations because their colors have stayed kinda consistent.

robo-Sektor is a deeper red, with dark blue (almost purple) lighting effects. Creepy.

Both Sub Zeros are a much darker blue, looks awesome.

Well that's rather the point. He originally wore that suit in the official MK1 comic, which came out in the early 90's, when pastel was the style of the day.

I like Kabal's Alt 2p outfit simply because it is black and brown.

I love Kitana's Alt Color it's badass.
