Mileena's misuse of "actual" sais is just a pet peeve that I have, along with other characters that use sai as stabbing weapons and not for their other uses. Whereas say, Gabrielle in Xena Warrior Princess used them correctly :)

But you're definitely right, Mileena really should've gotten to use them more often in regular combat, integrated into her fight style. They could easily have separated her from Kitana by using sai more accurately as well. The knuckle on the end of the handle is a good blunt weapon.


Well, you have to remember that this is a fighting game. And a bloody one as well. Using fans and sais as defensive weapons only is rather dull. Of course, mixing some defensive uses into their weapon style would be nice, but if they didn't have the stabbing, the slicing, the swiping and such, then they would be rather useless.

Also have in mind that the weapon style techniques in Mortal Kombat isn't as advanced as in Soul Calibur. Weapons in MK are mainly used for doing some extra damage and for looking cool while doing so, also to vary between characters so not all of them are just using martial arts.

Very true, it's not that big a deal. Just a peeve :) I still love stabbing and slicing ^_^

But seriously, Mileena and Kitana, their weapons and their look left such an impression on me as a child. *nostalgia face*

I wouldn't call it a weapon more than I would call a hand and a leg a weapon. It's part of her body like her arms and legs, not an external weapon like a sword would be... Then again, Baraka's blades are a natural part of his body as well, so it's a tough one to define.

However, it would be cool if Sindel used her hair like Millia Rage from Guilty Gear, somewhat like this:

Its a tough one to call but i would say a weapon too. Yeah i love how she uses her hair like that I wouldnt mind seeing Sindel use a bit of that but in saying that I dont want her hair to be her main attacking point i would love a couple of whipping moves and a grab also for her to make use of her long nails, But what i really hope for is that close fisted slap she did in mk3 and the movie for some reason i really liked the way she hit people :)

Kabal's hookswords ..... this is a pretty, pretty dangerous weapon in real life, very sharp and durable one, able to do serious damage , and at the same time, pretty good for defensive use .... at hands of an experient fighter (Kabal), hookswords can be more efficient than Baraka's blades and Mileena's sais combined together.

Speaking of Stryker back en duh olden days when I would play UMK3 on my N64 I would always think Strykers name was Diaper. But I was young so yeah.

Back on topic my favorite weapon is Scorpion's axe from cooking with scorpion.

Definitely Kitana's fans and Mileena's sais! I love 'em, both. Such opposites from eachother. I love Sub-Zero's ice sword that he uses to stab you with... that's about it.

KITANA'S fans
Their so original and you won't find em in any other videogame.
Only MK has the potential to produce such one of a kind weapons :)

Do Baraka's blades count?
I think they do, well their my 2nd favorite weapons.
I mean sharp ass blades that come out of his arms, fukin badass!
