Here's some great advice I posted at Kamidogu:

When in doubt, expect more palette swaps.
I was just thinking about this today. They have not announced what costumes will be released with Rain have they? Will there be any at all?

There will be, they're giving people an incentive to download the compatibilty pack os people, who don't have a character can still fight people who do and all the other DLC characters received two.

I suspect they've not announced them yet because they're not just more palette swaps, but that's just me though.

They only did that with the previous 2 characters because we all knew what was going to be the retro skins.

Now they are building suspense.

Imagine what would happen if they only told us it was Rain this week.

I'd love for it to be an unmasked Sub-Zero costume, but only if it were less like a literal remake of the MK3 costume and more like:



Modified MKDA look would be perfect.

Again, the Season Pass ad specifically said four characters and eight klassic skins; with the latter being incentive for those who don't buy the characters, to download the compatibility packs.

That said, from an hour ago:

As expected. In fact, based on when the Smoke/Noob trailer was released, midnight (Central time) could be when we find out who Blueberry and Lime are. So perhaps in 31 hours we'll know.

Dunno if this means anything, or if it's been brought up before, but did anyone notice in the "Pit Master" achievement, the pic of Reptile shows him in his MKII attire and not his MK1 attire? Could this mean that Sub-Zero and Reptile's MKII attire will be the next free DLC download?

I just wanted to point that out. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but I thought it was pretty interesting. I'm still hoping for the MK3 ninja outfits. I know a lot of people are sick of the ninja's but I would like to have their MK3 outfits as free downloads.

I agree.. Im hoping for UMK3 ninja outfits.. I understand that people are tired of ninjas getting everything but once ninjas get those, then no one has to worry about them getting any more... Personally I think all of the "summer season" dlc will be ninja/ female ninja retros... they are probably the quickest and easiest to make which is why NRS is releasing them first.. I dont think it is out of lazyness. They have spent a lot of time and care on this game. I really think they released them first so they can spend more time working on other Characters retros and Alts because they require a little more detail.

DLC is selling well so we can probably expect more "seasons" of it, which will include other characters retros and more varied dlc.



Just my thoughts.
Keep the DLC coming, I'm happy with everything. Unmasked Sub-Zero would be a must.
