Im ruling out these characters:

SubZero, Reptile, Kitana, and Jade because they already have classic costumes

Im also ruling out Cyber Smoke because he would be his own character with his own unique moves like Cyber SubZero. Plus ed boon listed him as a possibilty for a dlc characterand not an alternate costume.


So Im guessing Cyber-SubZero (blueberry) and Sonya (Lime) will get an alternate.

I would actually be happy to see Syb-Zero get an alt. And it would be great to see Sonya's MK1992 costume. Not the MK3 one, of course because it's from MK3 and all the costumes in that game are terrible.

Except maybe the cybers and Kabal.

I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet, because this seems like the type of thread that starts flame wars, but Blueberries are more purple than blue. So.......... my guess is Mk2 Jax and Mk1 Sonya.

i was hoping bald kano and sonya came in a pack together.

Blueberries are a purpley-blue that's... pretty much the exact same color as Kitana.

People are setting themselves up for disappointment if you expect anything other than palette swaps...

But really, let's get back to reality. Would they really waste time giving a retro to Jax? He already wears his MK3 costume in his p2 primary.

Stryker and Johnny wear almost the same thing they did back in the old games. So they're not necessary.

And what does everybody (minus some hardcore fans) really like? NINJAS.

So we're going to see more palette swap ninjas. Plain and simple.

More specifically, we'll be getting MK2 Jade and Kitana. Not Scorpion and Reptile like some people think. They wouldn't sell Reptile before Scorpion, and these two characters don't have a real connection.

I think it's win/win either way.
MK2 Kitana (win) and queve implodes which I'll admit with a little bit of guilt would be interesting to see or MK3 Subbie (also win) and queve gets Sonya....However I would hope he/she would be fighting for other characters in that regard and not just Sonya alone.

My thoughts? Give the ninjas all of their retros from games they were in. Hell Give Skarlet an Mk2 retro, Give Rain an MK3 retro. CYBERSub-Zero and CYBERSmoke , if he ever shows up, retros as well.
Give Subbie his Mk3 look. Give the other characters some retros that are not similar to what they have on now (Cage,Stryker,Sheeva,MK2 Raiden etc) And Give Kenshi Cyber-Zero Skarlet and Rain new alternates too.

We should get all this MK1-MKT nostalgia stuff over with so it's completely out of our system and Netherrealms' system as well.

DLC is the best way to handle the nostalgia crap that keeps following MK around.

And the Suckers will buy it (me included) without hesitation.

Dont forget Shang Tsung. His costume wasnt terrible in the slightest.

I want to believe that no one thinks Shangs MK3 costume is anything but awful, and you are seriously harshing my buzz.

Seriously, that is the worst Shang Tsung ever looked. It even made me stop maining him.

I prefer his MK3 outfit over his MK2 outfit any day. As Ive already mentioned, I really dont like any of the MK2 outfits...

Sonyas MK3 costume was better than her MK1 costume, but Ill be honest either of the two I will accept with open arms.
