I think the main reason is because they want their women to be really beautiful (and sexy of course), so one of the main things they do to accomplish this is to pack on the breasteses. And the reason why they're all pretty much the same size is because they don't want any girl to be inferior to another, so they make all their boobs the same.

And that's my two cents, which is like a fourth of my income.

Remember the Mileena render?

That should give you a decent idea of what constitutes as "sexy' in the mortal kombat universe it seems. True, characters like Sindel should cover up more(MK3 still was skimpy). Sonya should have a t-shirt underneath her rack.

Aren't a decent number of the models relatively sized in similiar categories? Dunno if that has anything to do with it in order to ease the burden of animating nearly 6 female models separately. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

And MK has always used sex appeal, hell most fighting games still suffer the stigma of girls having stacked racks and idealized proportions, but that's a reality of apart of games right now. It doesn't make it mature, but it adds to the game I suppose.

Sonja's titties where alwys huge. Sindel's I would expect to be smaller, but she's a Queen and gets what she wants I guess. Sheeva's proportions put them all to shame. Can't wait to see her. I woud have given Mileena tiny bewbs and make her more angular but watevs

Different meaning "less revealing?"

I can see how the "Boobs size" topic of the thread would be confusing. Yeah.

sexy =/= beautiful or appealing.

Then again, what is the point of arguing about MK being sexist when you are past 20 and still play a game that primarily targets teens.

I find a LOT of things sexist, and call them on it. MK is not one of these things.

I didn't mind the boob size until I saw the videos. Her tits move like microwaved jello. I'm not a huge Sonya fan, so I'm not going to crazy over the issue, but I can see why people find it a little obnoxious.

But you know, I wouldn't mind the DOA jiggle if she was wearing a little more clothing. She still looks way too bland to me.

I didn't see any crazy movement... her breasts bounce like any other breasts do in video games.

But I am going to youtube microwaved jello now.

This is a fairly depressing topic, and once again "large breasts" has been deemed something required for "sexy". I have a hard time believing so many people really feel this way on this topic, it's completely appalling to me. I just don't really understand the point of designing virtually every character the same way, eventually you would think it'd get boring or trite.

With so many women working at NRS I'm just as surprised at least one of them haven't remarked on this.

It's a video game. My girl doesn't have big tits and I find her to be the most gorgeous person on the planet.

I think you're taking video game boobs a little too seriously, especially for Mortal Kombat.

This is what always happens. Don't agree with the masses, deemed "taking it too seriously" for your troubles. I'm not going to just nod my head and clap my hands in applause if I don't like something. If they still did palette swaps I would like to think people would have a problem with that (though you never know with MK fans I guess). Costume and character design isn't trite or worthless, I'm a visual person and my enjoyment of something is derived partly on how it looks.

Ok well it's a little sexist but skimpy outfits isn't really malicious. I would, however, attempt for more diversity in the feminine form. Between Jaxx, Cage and Srtryker there is decent variation, but not so uch between the ladies save for Sheeva. I nooticed Kitana was maybe different? Chunderthighs perhaps? The video was pretty small though so it was hard to tell if bewbs where jiggling. hur

I wouldn't expect you to...

I just honestly think you're taking it too seriously. I think they're trying to make Mortal Kombat's presentation as... primal... as possible. It's action, blood, and sex.

I understand where you're coming from... big tits =/= beautiful, cute, attractive (to everyone), or sexy.

But most teens - young adults find it attractive.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I find it a fun part of the whole package. It's just Mortal Kombat to me... I mean, casting a playboy bunny as Sonya and then rendering her later on with large breasts doesn't strike me as surprising.

Mortal Kombat is just keeping up with the ever growing tolerance for sex and gore, which it is known for. I never look to Mortal Kombat's story or presentation for any shred of subtlety. I always look to it for excess, and aside from MK vs DCU... it always delivers.

I'm curious. What defines your love for Mortal Kombat, Crow?

I don't think that's really fair considering the men working at NRS obviously haven't complained about the hyper muscled-up dudes that make up the male roster.

Story and characters. For a fighting game, I think MK has the most interesting cast so it saddens me when they aren't used to their full potential... turned into "primal" creations, as you say.

Muscles are something anyone can build; breasts are something you're born with. Make better comparisons if you're going to make them. Muscles are a given, these are fighters and most of them have to be in good shape, but you still even have the oddballs there like Bo Rai Cho. Physique is something you can do something about without cosmetic surgery. Muscles are a sign of training and discipline, and again something anyone can have. Large breasts are a sign of character designers looking to sell copies of a video game to young men.

I agree with the story and cast.

However, I don't think large breasts make them primal creations. They just add to part of Mortal Kombat's appeal to that sense.

Do the big breasts honestly kill everything else about the character for you?

Imagine in the story mode if a serious scene was presented with Sonya. I will have a harder time taking her seriously while she's talking if she's bouncing around with gravity defying double d breasts and wearing a vest without a top underneath it. It kills my suspension of disbelief. It's like Batman doing the whole movie in nothing but his mask and underwear.

There are plenty of MMA fighters who are just as disciplined as the next that aren't perfectly sculpted from marble. I'm not disagreeing with you about this whole breast issue, but to single out the female population of NRS is just corny in lieu of all these perfect adonis'.

I suppose. Were you bothered so much in MK vs DCU with Sonya's scenes?

Her breasts bounced like crazy in those scenes, while walking up to Green Lantern, and her nipples were clearly visible through her shirt.
