Haha Nice! Thanks for info Spider!
As to another poster saying Dragon only eats head: Well that's a lil..weak but eh I would still love to see Lui Kang turn into a Dragon haha!
My cousin is going to be excited now since he wanted to see that in this game too! :)

MK2011 features some of the best fatalities since MK2, Seriously, MK3's were fucking played or laughs, MK4 visually looked like old lady tits so any good ideas there lost their luster due to the poor visuals, The entire deadly alliance trilogy was filled with lackluster half assed nonsense.

No problem, it could've been worse, he could've just turned into the dragon and done....Nothing. lol

Haha very true man!
Or heck...what if he breathed Fire on opponent and charbroiled his opponent? I wouldn't mind that either!!

Yeah, you'd think Liu would wanna barbeque 'em a little first before he chomps their ass.

LMAO. Old lady tits?! Awesome.
I personally think these fatalities are awesome. The only one I saw that was a little meh was Jax's. There was nothing special about it really. Everybody else's fatalities look awesome, and it just might be even the cinematic style of them. The camera angles are spectacular. I agree with an original poster that there's really only so many ways you can kill a person without it looking like you're a deranged, psycho-path. I've seen some fan suggested ones that were like "The fuck..." and "please stay away if you think like that."
Guess I lied about staying away...meh. LOL

These new ones are awesome, I've been waiting since Shaolin Monks for actual fucking Fatalities to come back, and these don't disappoint.

I dont think they SUCK but they certainly much better than the crap on the vs DC game.
I personally think the best fatalities were on MKII, MKTrilogy and MKDeception (give or take a few duds like KABAL's MK3-era ones for example) and to a lesser extent, MK4.
In any case, some fatalities are never really gonna be replaced (SONYA and KITANAs kisses, MILEENAs "man-eater") but will only have variations of the classics.

Hmm I'm pretty much on the same boat. It's been so long since I've witnessed impressive fatalities these really felt like a treat... But a lot of them are the same treat over and over. If every decapitation was a Reeses peanut butter cup I'd enjoy the first couple, but after that I've had enough.
The cut point *looks impressive* but loses it's flare when it's the only "type" of fatality. We need people melting, getting crushed, getting chard to a crisp, getting electrocuted, and having their soul removed without limbs popping off just because they can.

I agree with that, at least we know there are several non-cut point finishers in here.

I'm hoping for more variety (melting, burning, blah blah blah), buttttt I just wish the cut points were a little more varied. It would spice it up a bit if people's arms were sliced at the elbow or during torso rips, the upper body got all mangled and only half the torso tears apart from the legs.... or during vertical slices - the body wouldn't have such a straight down the middle cut (although this is understandable for Kung Lao's because of his precision hat cut).
0
Kung Lao's is sick, no pun intended. lol
I like a lot of these fatalities but they remind me of the ones in DA/Deception only instead of everyone exploding everyone is getting cut up.
I still say the Fatalities in MKvsDCU were the best. I think the T rating forced them to be more creative.

And I sincerely hope we never get another T rating ever again. Dark days, those were. lol

boo hoo there better than mk vs dc 1s
Fatalities have by and large been ass - with a few exceptions - since MK3.
My only beef is there's a bit too much cutting going on, but that's only from what we've seen. Certain fatalities like Kabal's and Sheeva's that have been mentioned and not seen hold a lot of promise.
I'm pretty content so far. At least the gore's mostly convincing this time though, and we're not just seeing streams of blocky red muddy crap like we did throughout the 3D games.

Well... Technically, I think those would be considered "bright and sunny" days. Which is not something you want in an MK game, hahah.

Here's how I'd rank 'em, by game:
1- MK2 (a good chunk of the most memorable ones come from here)
2- MKD (many were memorable, but not quite as good as MK2)
3- MK1 (good, just not enough of them, obviously understandable though)
4- MKT (we'll just call it that so that it covers everything... some were very good, most were complete nonsense, the stage fatalities were awesome)
5- MK4 (few good, most forgettable, others stupid)
6- MKDA (maybe three solid ones in the whole game, one per character was bullshit)
Obviously MKA and MKSM don't count, since they had KAF and re-hashed fatalities (respectively).
MKDC never happened.
Also, you guys are aware that the presentation of the fatality matters as much as the actual fatality itself, right? Right? RIGHT?
Seriously now, I'm reading a lot of opinions that I find questionable in this thread.
EDIT: Speck, they didn't animate Classic Sub's Spine Rip in MKT because it's meant to be a joke against pussy Democrats who think that video games are bad for everyone and everything. Remember how that fatality in MK1 started such a shitstorm? It was a poke at that, just like Friendships in MK2 and beyond. Should they have animated it? Yes. I'd have liked to see it in that game. However, to call them lazy for it is baseless and wrong.

I'm really curious. I didn't know they didn't animate it for that reason. I'm not suggesting your wrong at all, but I'd like a link or something more "official" if that was the purpose. Have a link, please?

All I'm gonna say is that I hate the shit out of Scorpion's second fatality.
In which he AGAIN cuts the opp. up with his sword. We already saw a similar one as his first fatality, which was good, but now they just over did it by doing it AGAIN and it doesn't even compare to the first.
And the fact that they withhold his Toasty Fatality just to make more money really sickens me.
Oh and Cyrax's Shujinko Fatality. Really?
In terms of cut point fatals, I don't have a problem with anybody else.

26 characters - all have 2 fatalities, possibly 3. Then add all the stages (which there are plenty) that have fatalities. Also don't forget there's inevitably going to be DLC--thus bringing characters with their own unique fatalities, as well as additional fatalities for on-disc characters.
I wouldn't be surprised if they reached 100 total fatalities by the end of next year.
So out of say, 60 character fatalities at the moment... we've seen about 22 of them.. and 10 are involving cut points. TEN.
We're also expecting:
It's also possible, if not likely, that other character specific fatalities will be included, such as Reptile's acid bath, Cryax's self-destruct, Shang's soul steal, Sonya's kiss of death, Sektor's compressor, Quan Chi's leg beatdown, Raiden's electrocution, etc.
None of which are cut point fatalities.
Therefore, all the haters can kindly shut the fuck up. There's nothing wrong with MK9's fatalities.
