I'm afraid this thread will turn out to yet another slutfest discussion...

However, on-topic, I wouldn't mind if her alternate outfit is maskless. Or maybe she pulls off her mask to do a Kiss of Death fatality, or maybe even in story-mode. I'd like to see that face as well.

I'd hope everyone gets unmasked in this game at some point. The mystery has no purpose anymore. If they want tell the story properly, they need to demonstrate the humanity (or lack there of) of their characters.

The one exception perhaps would be Ermac, but that's only because he doesn't have one specific humanity.

I do miss unmasked Kitana.

i don't mind either way, i'll always picked the masked version since the unmasked versions just didn't appeal to me in past MK games.

i do think it would be strange to not have her take off her mask at least once during the entirety of the game though, seeing as Mileena is supposed to hide her face and she uses almost every opportunity to take her mask off.

Well. She'll have an alternate and a classic costume, so hopefully in one of those we'll see her unmasked :)

It'd be kind of a neat feature if they implement a alternate select button. DOA has this to an extent. If you use one of the other face buttons to select a character (X or Y instead of A on the 360) you can change the hairstyles and more of certain characters.

They could implement something similar for the new MK. That way you can just have a masked/maskless version of the same costume.

I would only like to see Kitana unmasked if it fits her story this time around. I have never been a fan of the female ninjas being unmasked. I always liked the masks, adds a little mystery and its always been part of their characters. If Kitana does have an unmasked costume I would hope that it is a much more regal looking costume. Also, if they have an unmasked Kitana, I hope they make her as hot/beautiful as she is supposed to be, I was not impressed with her face in MKG or MKDA, MKG's face was a little better than MKDA's face though. Jade's face looked really good in MKD though. If Kitana gets an unmasked, they need to make her look really young and beautiful. They should model her face after a younger Kim Kardashian or Adriana Lima.

I think the mask it too crucial a part of some costumes for this to work.

I don't find that Kim Kardashian attractive in the least. The other one is kinda cute... but she's very artificial... very barbie doll. I don't want Kitana to look like either of these women.

As an alternate costume for versus online gameplay, OK. But , in main game story mode, no. Masked Kitana fits pretty well place in MK history.

I think an unmasked option for many of the masked characters would be great. Jade, Kitana, Sub-Zero, etc. should have costumes without them. They are all attractive characters so I think it'd be great. This is also a younger version of Jade so I'm REALLY keen on seeing what she looks like! The only one I would REALLY not like to see is Mileena.

Storyline wise it just wouldn't make sense. It would look awesome, but that's supposed to be her "dirty little secret" of sorts. It would ruin the shock value even though we know she's a monster underneath.

I think her facial features were just a little better in MKG, but, she looked kind of tough in the features and the ugly hairstyle in that game made her look kind of old.

I really like her unmasked concept art pictures in MKDA though, some of those are very very beautiful. And I think her in-game unmasked model in that game is nice.

I hated her unmasked alt in MKDA, I hope no masked characters have an unmasked alternate, except for maybe sub-zero (mk3 look) and scorpion (da flame head)

I see it highly likely that she will indeed show her face as she did in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. She didn't show her face in MK/DC though.

Character customization like Soul Calibur 4.
