I think people are seeing what they want to see. That character definitely had human arms. It was either Kabal, Sub-Zero, Smoke, or someone else. It was low quality and hard to make things out.

And, this guy doesn't have hair like Kabal, or a backpack. There's a blueish circle on his back also.

at you:
I complain because I love the game. If I didn't care about it, I wouldn't complain. And I have gone and played Tekken and Soul Calibur, (won't touch street fighter). For years I didn't even look at Mortal Kombat because it was a childish, broken, boring, ugly, cartoony mess. Now it's better, but it still isn't as perfect as I could hope for it to be.
As I said before, if I were as casual and ambivalent about mk9 being good as you seem to be, I wouldn't complain either.

Perfection can never be reached. Every person has their own idea of what is perfect and no one will be able to satisfy everyone. If you are waiting for the perfect Mortal Kombat you'll probably wait for the rest of your life... so good luck with that. ^^

True, but there are things that could be a lot better. I think we all agree, with the exception of a few fanboys, that the hair, especially the long hair, needs work. And that cut point fatalities are proliferating way too much, especially from a character like Raiden. It may be too late for this game, but if we make our requests known, maybe MK10 will be even better. If we all just sit here and gush about how happy we are with absolutely everything, will anything get any better? If all everyone ever did was say how much they loved MKD or MKDC, would we have gotten this? Sure they would have made MK9, but it would have been far inferior to what it is.unseenwombat Wrote:

I agree, there are some things here and there that needs to be tweaked, but you can achieve that by coming with some constructive critisism to NRS, not by complaining over and over on a forum like this. I think that's what many fans fail to realize that there are positive ways to "complain" about these sort of things which can become productive if done right. As you said, it might be too late for this game... well, almost certainly is since it's release is in less than a month now, but it will be something they can fix for the next game.

Kratos looks like he could be very fun to use. I'd MUCH rather have the option to play as him than not have him at all because then it won't be '100% MK' lol...

So what is the "positive" way to complain? Send them "tweets," I guess. Twitter is such a confusing mess though.

Anyone worried that kratos might be way over powering and un balanced does to much damage etc ?

Yeah, I'm worried about it. I hope they learned their lesson from past games though. Anyone worried that kratos might be way over powering and un balanced does to much damage etc ?
And supposedly there's DLC updates that can fix balance issues. IDK how confident I am they'll actually implement them as much as is needed. Soul Calibur 4 got one DLC patch to fix some balance issues, but it left Hilde and Algol completely broken, and then Namco moved on to bigger and better things and just forgot about it. I hope WB shows more love to the game than that.

I think the last guy in KOTH mode before Cyrax is Kabal.

Ever heard of e-mail? Or maybe meet up to one of the gaming conventions and actually talk to them.

I think I have about as much chance of Boon stumbling across a post in the forum as I do of him actually reading an email. And I never go to gaming conventions. I'm not that hardcore.
Twitter might be a viable option, but like I said, I hate twitter.

I really don't understand all the heat Kratos is getting. There is nothing boring or lame about his moves. I feel like everyone just hates him because hes the outsider, and Sony just put him in for the money.
And I guess KOTH mode is just the name they are giving to basic online play? Sounds like a good lobby system. Especially after the pile of garbage that was MVC3's.
I know a lot of MVC3 fan wold probably flip out over this. But I really feel like MK9 is showing why MVC3 is not a good game. Pushing gameplay aside, look at all these features MK has packed in. Then look at MVC's bare bone offering. Not to mention MK provides an alt costume for all their characters when MVC makes you pay $5 for a hand full of alts.

two people fight, the winner continues and faces someone else in the lobby, and the loser goes to the end of the waiting list, rinse and repeat, if you need more info than that look at the "lobby mode" in MvC3 except that in this game we'll have spectator modeWow!
