Watching the video, it looks/feels so threatening...the music tone REALLY sets that mood. Step your game up MK Team, you got fans making better Fatalities than you.

Black Dragon clan sure do love stealing each others moves and fatalities.

Kabal's the only unique one of the bunch.

Jarek stole Kano's MK1/3 fatality, Kobra has this fatality already, Kira's finishers were unique but nothing else was, and don't get me started how the Red Dragon rips just about everything from the Black Dragon.

I'd rather see Kano do that then Kobra, and the above video was Awsome lol really well made

YES thank you, the fatality music tone is dark, scary, and basically perfect.

The past few games have been disapointing in that dept. Deadly Alliance probably was the last game that had a good scary tune to it. I really hope the fatality tune in this game has a dark, deep epic feel like MK1, or similar to the tune in this video.

That was awesome! I really hope someone working on the game sees this. The difference between this and Kobra's is that with Kobra all it was was him yanking a red rock out of someone's chest and jamming it into someone's face. In the fanmade video there was a binch of blood and guts attached to the heart you could see when he ripped it out. Also the sound effects were way better. What's "Oww!... Ahh!" compared to a bunch of ear peircing shreiks and gargling sounds.

Serioulsy, whoever made this video did a beyond excellant job.

EDIT: Did you see any of this guy's other videos? He's how one where Scorpion does the toasty in the new MK9 and two with Sub-Zero.

I'm guessing most never played as Kobra and didn't do his fatalities.

It's better than most of the shitty fatalities they've shown us so far.

It's fun to see that the fans have better fatality ideas than the developpers themselves.

Kobra's fatality is still Kano's fatality in the first place. Just because he stuffs it in their mouth doesn't somehow make it new and original.

Anyway, I rather like this. The music, sound effects, and atmosphere are perfect and I rather like that slight shaky-cam effect going on.

The extra strands of gore that drip and cling off the heart as he pulls it out sell the whole thing pretty nicely too, which reminds me that in the Playstation 3 3DTV demo version of Kung Lao's fatality that we saw at E3, with the fancier camera angles, we saw the exact same sort of effect on the victim's body as the two halves separate. There needs to be more of that in the game's finishers.

In fact, I'm rather offended they aren't making such use of those camera angles in the actual game. You don't need 3D to put the camera in a cooler fucking place than facing straight-forward.

Oh my sweet lord...I found myself cringing at that with my face all twisted up like an old lady. I guess that's the mark of a good fatality!! Poor poor Sonya...that music really set it off. It wasn't even really complex...just extremely dark and overbearing. WOOOF. CREEPY.

LOL. Yup, the music really sets the mood and I strongly believe that it's necessary to create that mood for the viewer.

Probably because Kobra's version in MK:D looked like crap.

1. Kobra shoves the heart in their face and it bounces off, not in their mouth.
2. The overall presentation and sound effects are much better in the Kano version.
3. The heart rip will always be Kano's Fatality, so obviously it's gonna be better received when he uses it.

So it's very understandable why the Kano version would be liked, and the Kobra one wouldn't be. Just looking at the two back to back, and I'd rather have the faked Kano version a million times over. It's brutal and cringe worthy, exactly what a Fatality should be. The Kobra one just looked dull, and sounded boring.

Much better than the so far decieving ones we've seen.

1- The heart doesn't bounce off, it just doesn't stick in the opponent's face. It simply falls down when he pushes the opponent over.
2- If you're referring to the link in the OP, no. It's too stiff. The sound isn't bad, though I'm not sure I'd use it in-game. The only thing that really grabs me about this version is the blood effects, which aren't even that great.
3- The MKD version fits Kobra's personality. Kobra isn't one to shy away from fighting and displaying his prowess, so the idea that he rips the heart out and shoves it in their face works perfectly.

Oh, and Razor, the modification that they put on Kobra's MKD fatality doesn't make it original, but this guy didn't exactly have to dig deep for the idea for this fatality, either. He just ripped it straight up, changed the characters, and added more blood. ZOMG CREATIVE.

Also, I don't know what you guys are hearing, but the so-called "gargling" sounds more like Sonya having an orgasm. I'm not feeling the chilling effect here. Know what I think would be better? Have Kano rip the heart out, grab the opponent's head, hold the heart right in front of their face, and shove them down. After doing that, he drops the heart back into the hole he made in their chest, and then pulls out one of his knives and stabs it. Fin.

It's an ok video. I'm not keen on the blood graphics. I dislike how it shouts sprays out in a giant flood when Kano rips it out and then it trails off the heart in a thick line like some sort of jelly or ooze. That's not very realistic and so for me detracts away from what looks like a simple and well executed Fatality.
