Not that it actually matters that much anyway. I just find that some of the arguments in this thread which insist on Stryker being the victim are rather lame. But I wouldn't want to see all my disliked characters dying in trailers, I'd want the pleasure of killing them to be saved for when I get to play as Freddy myself.

I'vy stopped aging at 32.

In people's defense, Stryker is generally the punching bag for a lot of people. Even to this day, all people say is "lol, all Stryker can do is shoot people", "Stryker is the lamest person in Mortal Kombat", or "Stryker is a waste of space". So when NRS comes out with a trailer having Stryker being brutally beaten by Johnny, only to die by Freddy....it's kind of a punch to the gut.

Not in the sense of 'Oh, Stryker gets to be the victim". Much more in the sense that "NRS made Stryker the victim, so fans can lavish in the fact that the most hated character gets horrible murdered, the way everyone wants him to".

However, Stryker fans need to realize something.

-After this game, Stryker has more fans than haters.
-Not everyone either loves or hates Stryker. There are people who are completely neutral toward him, like any of us are toward characters like Nightwolf, Jax, or Baraka.

And the most important lesson:
-If you love Stryker that much, haters can go fuck themselves. Be proud and stride.

Actually, I'm a writer and I have a character who has stopped aging at 32 as well. I just thought 32 was a fitting age for him.

Things are a little kreepy 'round these parts.

1. That doesn't change that Stryker fans still go through it, and have been going through it longer than Hsu Hao fans. Hell, I got shit for it when I played UMK3 in elementary. I'm a senior in college now.
2. Shouldn't that make you more sympathetic towards characters like Stryker who get fucked over as well? I know people defend Stryker more because 'he is part of the trilogy' (which is a dumb reason to defend him). Then again, I suppose the biggest different between Stryker and Hsu Hao is Boon's approval. Boon loves one and hates the other. Sorry.

In a way, I am more sympathetic. I happen to love all those unpopular characters like Meat, Chameleon, Mokap, etc..

Though, that is partially because I'm biased towards the 3D era, and I dislike many of the classic characters..

I liked the vignette, I thought having Stryker (before a shitstorm starts it COULD of been anybody) getting knocked out and sent to hell with Freddy was amusing, it was just like one of the films. The story is decent, there is much better in the games, but there is also much worse. All in all, can't wait for Freddy!

I like Chameleon. Can I tell you who has it worse? Sub-Zero and Sareena fans(Sarcasm Just Kidding) but seriously, yeah Hsu Hao fans do have it bad

IMO, bias against the classic games is equally as bad as bias against the 3D games. I love both, too much, for different reasons.

But that's your opinion. Only issue, and sorry for this: Chameleon is from UMK3 and MKT, thus he's classic.

vignette was cool, and the commercial was pretty awesome too. freddy is gonna be so much fun to play. i do have to admit it was funny seeing stryker getting the whole dreamworld treatment, sorry but i never liked stryker much.
