Friendships/Animalities/Brutalities/Hara Kiri/Babality. Which ones do you want?

I could see ninjas doing it seeing sub create an ice sword and kill himself right before they perform the fatality would be cool. Personally only a few made sense in deception scorpions the best cause he probably would actually do that.

The idea of hara kiris are awesome, but the way they were executed in Deception were stupid. They should be quick, fast, and simple, otherwise you'd might as well let your opponent finish you off.
i realy only WANT friendships to return.i wouldn't mind animalities.but brutalities are boring, babalities are anoyyinng and always the same.and hara kiris are just a waste of time.that's my opinion, also it's great to be back on the site.

In my honest opinion: Throw them all in. The more the merrier I say.
But if I had to pick and choose some to stay and some to go...
Friendship: Yes
Animality: Yes
Babality: Maybe. Wouldn't mind it, but not my favorite.
Brutality: No
Hara-Kiri: No
MK3 Brutalities I never liked. They were boring and repetative. Seen one you've seen them all. They sucked.
MKvsDC Brutalities were just fatalities with the violence toned down. With DC gone: Why bother?
Hara-Kiris, while an interesting twist, were just self-inflicted fatalities, and while I have no problem with them in and of themselves, I'd prefer a little more variety from my finishing moves than just more violence. I feel the fatalities themselves cover the violence well enough.
Now as for the wacky finishers...
My honest opinion (and this has always been my honest opinion on the matter)...
People who hate the goofy finishing moves, because they cheapen the "serious tone" of the game... need a friggin' reality check. imo.
Mortal Kombat IS not and HAS not ever been a "Serious" franchise. It has admittedly had some moments and/or installments that were a little more or a little less serious than others... but on the whole. It has never been the serious, mature, dark, gritty, scary, reality-fest that some of you make it out to have once been.
These games have bright colors. These games have bright characters. These games have jokes, and easter eggs, and inside references slapped all over them. There are gags everywhere. In character names, in stage backgrounds, in character moves, in character stories and endings, and in countless other places.
We're talking about a game, where the big bad ultimate boss, has on occasion remarked to us, "It's official. You suck."
We're talking about a game, where a little man appears in the corner of the screen and yell "Toasty!" in a goofy voice.
And yes, we're talking about a game where instead of murdering one another, in a few installments... you could make friends with your opponant.
And did these things originate in part 7 or part 8? Are these things changes made in LATER sequels that ruined the once serious tone of the franchise?
NO!
They've been around as early as PART TWO. The very chapter that many people regard as the one where the game really established itself.
Hell, even in the FIRST game... on occasion, SANTA CLAUS... would fly past the moon in the pit stage!
The only thing remotely "mature" about these games is the violence. And even that I don't think makes them serious games.
Key thing to remember about the violence in MK is... it's VERY, VERY, VERY Over the top violence. Reptile transforms into a bright green lizard and eats people's heads with his tongue. Jax turns into a giant and squishes people with his boot. Sindel tears peoples skin off with her hair or screams them to death. Kabal shocks people to death with his ugly face.
The lethal violence in these games... is far from... well: serious.
The only reason we pretend this is a "mature" franchise, is to keep the Jack Thompsans of the world quiet and off our backs, when in reality: How many of us started playing these games when we were what, 10 years old? Younger?
How many of us taught our little siblings how to play this game, or were taught by our older siblings?
How many mature adults do you think gave a rat's behind about the MK Movies? I know my parents slept through it when I tried to make them watch it as a preteen.
How many mature adults do you think they were marketing Defenders of the Realm at?
How many mature adults do you think they were pushing those action figures at? Your parents run right out to buy Shang Tsung's boat playset? Hmm?
Am I saying adults can't or shouldn't enojy any of those things? No. I enjoy them. I'm sure lots of you do too. Nothing wrong with it.
But ask yourself: Are these really the benchmarks of a mature adult franchise? REALLY?
Is this really the Schindler's List of the video game world? The American History X? The Godfather? (Insert serious violent adult movie of your choice here)
I don't remember Brando putting on his purple ninja suit and ripping anyone's head off with his bare hands.
This franchise... is a wacky, fun, over-the-top franchise... Marketed at the young and the young at heart.
But labeled mature to avoid a lawsuit.
I'll give you that MK1 Might have been, MIGHT have been... a little more serious on the whole than its followups. (Aside from Santa Claus)
But we've been past that for a long long LONG time now...
Friendships are fun. Animalities are fun. Games are supposed to be fun.
In short (too late, I know)...
Lighten the hell up.

PS.
It annoys even me how wordy I can be sometimes...
Always been that way. Can't seem to help it. Never been a guy who feels he can get his full point across succinctly...
Apologies. lol...

If the Brutalities are an "x-ray fatality" as the rumor goes, then I'd like to see that. The Friendships were funny one time. Babalities were not. No to Animalities in general, but Nightwolf could turn into a wolf (or a pack) and I'd like that if it was animated well.
As for Hara-kiris, they need to be quick and simple, as someone else stated already. Some characters could have a specific one if it makes sense. I wouldn't mind if most fighters had the same killing move. Chances are I wouldn't be able to pull it off fast enough unless I was fighting the CPU or newbie.

I think every character should have a Friendship because those are fun. However, the other finishers are just bleh. Animalities in particular are lame because the majority made no sense (remembers Scorpion's hellpenguin).
Brutalities, I think, if they're going to bother including them, that they should be like the MKvDC but with a much simpler button combination.

Pretty much. I would accept Brutalities if they took real skill and didn't end in explosions.
But yeah, Friendships definitely.

Let's say Brutalities are in. Now it's Round 2, vote again between Friendships or Hara Kiri?

Friendships- No,simply because it is suppose to be more serious and darker.
Brutalities- Yes,sure the older versions were repetitive and shown us multiple body part of the same type but I bet this will be addressed if it is making its return.
Hara Kiri- No,This was not in the first 3 games...not even in Trilogy. The idea is solid but I think it is a waste of time for this game. Maybe for the next installment.
Babalities- No,this is a joke and truly annoying. While it is funny to some it is stupid to others. I feel the same about this as I do with Friendships.
Animalities- Yes,I really would like to see it in some form as long as they are not cartoony and highlighted like they were in the last game they were in. Otherwise this idea can be put into the regular fatality category and make only some of the characters able to do it.

Friendship yes! they could be look funny with a bad sense of humor in it ( remember Kung Laos MK3 friendship )
Brutalities yes! It could start with an combo ( but please character specific ) and end with a really brutal x-ray who kills the opponent.
Babalities, Hara Kiri and all the other stuff I really don't need in the game.

I think the Anamality's would be great to put in. SO HELL YES PUT IT IN
I mean we saw it first in MK3 right?
That was how many years ago?
I think they could make it look so much cooler now with all the programs they have now.
I mean take Sonya I LOVE the idea of the entire Hawk anamality. I mean Rip those BITCHES up Hawk Sonya
I mean her codename also is Black Hawk.
Liu Kang as a dragon very cool, they just have to make the anamality understandable.
Hara Kiri was cool so yes to that too.
Brutality..... well please no I think it looked stupid as hell, and very boring to watch.
Babality's.... no thanks it may look cute but I play MK for the blood and the neck breaking etc. not for those fugly babies.
Friendships well it could be fun, but like I said with the babalities this is the same, but I rather have Friendship than Babalities.
