MK Trilogy, the game with what 6 or 7 multicolored ninja that look exactly the same and many specials were also exact duplicates with an effect covering it up.

The only Ninja with duplicate abilities are Scorpion and Human Smoke, Ermac to a lesser degree. And Rain's Lightning *could* be viewed as the same as Ermac's TK Slam, but they work differently enough to justify both (Lightning has an easier command and comes out faster, TK Slam is more effective anti-air). All the moves introduced in MKT- Rain's moves, Noob's moves, Stryker's gun, etc. were some of the most imaginative Specials they've ever come up with, IMO.

If Frost is alredy in the background Pit 2, then wouldn't it be weird to have a makeover Frost as DlC because when you play as Frost on that Pit 2 Stage or whatever it is, another Frost will be fighting in the background lmao

Kenshi used to be on the background of the Pit as well. And now look at him - he's announced to be in the first batch of DLC.

Besides,I haven't seen Frost in the back there for a very long time. In the latest vids,it's all Daegon and,as far as I can tell,Sareena,so I guess what they're gonna roll with in the final game.

Hm... That makes me wonder if that fight between Daegon and Sareena will ever be referenced in the future MK games. That's a potential plot point right there.
