Don't think so. It was announced earlier that the next GI issue would include two new characters, and there's a lot of details the OP put into the description of Jade and Goro.

The Rooftops is the same from the debut trailer. It's at day and there's burning buldings.

From the concept art: Goro's Lair has a throne. On the side there are two posts(?) with fire. Above the throne, there are vents(?) that let light in. Skeletons are on the ground and bodies are hanging on the walls and from the ceiling. The oni are chained up and behind the bars that were in MKA's version.

On Goro:

It mentions he is not selectable and 'We want to have some characters be bosses, be big obstacles that you have to get through'
'They have a mystique to them,and I think Goro, Shang Tsung, and Shao Kahn have always been your obstacles that you've had to get across. We really want to have some of our chracters represent that. Right now he's a boss.'

There are two screenshots of Goro. One at the Subway punching Nightwolf in the air, and another where he is shooting his green projectile while Sub-Zero is sliding under it at Goro's Lair.

Is Goro much bigger than regular characters in size or height? liek the boss characters in MK:A and the classic games? Or is he more along the lines of a regular sized character?

You can't really see how tall he is, but he looks to be tall. He's certainly bigger/ taller than Nightwolf(whom he's punching into the air).

I'm really excited and happy to hear Goro won't be selectable from the beginning as well as some of the main bosses. Something tells me we will have to work really hard to actually unlock them (I'm sure they will be playable).

We've been asking for this since forever. Also, I'm 100% positive Shang Tsung will be unlock-able, remember Mk2 and Mk3 and onward people? (just not at the beginning like in MK1...awesome).



It's not a generic style within MK, at all. Sonya's had those bangs around her eyes since MK1 (look at her ending pics), except that it wasn't consisntent in all games (MK4-MKDA) and it was only in MKvsDC were they truly made them more dramatic and unique for Sonya (or any MK female actually).

Mileena has a different style in MKD (alt) and on and it looks really great on her. Nitara's eye was covered by a thing and not by bangs.

I only said that 'cause the description is that of "a pony tail with bangs covering her eye"...yeah, sounds like Sonya's hair style, but, I'm not bitching on Jade 'cause I have not seen any picture yet. I don't like the sound of that particular detail, but, everything else sounds fantastic. I'm seriously looking forward to seeing Jade.

I love Jade and I can't wait to see her amazing new look. Her outfit is going to be wicked (and hopefully not super revealing, her MKD primary was amazing though).

Not to be a dick, but why is everyone believing this dudes story? His brother seems to be the only MK fan in the world to have the mag.

As pumped as I am for Jade, I'm 10x more excited that Goro and Khan will not be playable. That made my day.

Edit:Ahhh same name I see cool.Hmmmm it's rather weird that I called every Gamestop in my area and NONE of them have that magazine yet.

When it comes down to the eye covering (which I myself think is an awesome look for Jade), the only person, real or fake, that I know of who has had a trademark with covering her eye is the late Aaliyah.





Anyhoo, I think it's fine. I can't wait to see Jade in action.

I don't mind Shang Tsung being "unlockable" and "unplayable" from the start, but if he isn't playable at all, I'm gonna slap somebody's momma.

People with subscriptions usually get the magazine earlier than the store release.

Actually,. I remember getting a Game Informer in my mail today. If it's the correct issue (I got it just this morning thanks to my Gamestop subscription.), I'll be looking for the page. I won't display scans of course, but I can confirm it or not.

It's weird how there are Elder Scroll scans already online from that magazine YET there are no MK scans...riddle me this? Not being rude but it's just bizarre.

I'll be getting the magazine as well. My Mom has the key unfortunately and she's out, but I'll be getting it the moment she gets back from the mailbox.

Uh, I looked at my Game Informer front and back. I found the Elder Scrolls article mentioned, but no MK one. I contacted the author of this thread, so I help he can direct me to it. If he fails to do so, I have become officially unconvinced.

Meh, not a big deal. I personally wasn't highly anticipating either one of those characters. I like that goro's lair is in though.
