I wasn't all that interested in Injustice to start with, but I easened up to the game and I liked it... However, I haven't touched it for months now. I bought Martian Manhunter, but haven't actually played the game since he was released, so I guess that was a waste of money. :/
I am so ready to get back to Mortal Kombat! I want to see what NRS have planned for the next game!

I'll admit, I'm kinda in the same place. The very first trailer of MK9 told us so much about the roster choice and art direction, so I'm already curious to see the reveal for the next game. Does anyone else remember seeing Nightwolf in the MK9 reveal and think, "did I just see Nightwolf?" Before that moment, the idea of a modernized MK trilogy never even occured (when people talked about reboots, I kept thinking it was going to be like MK1 with half the cast completely new). The next game is going to be slightly more predictable, but I still think the story structure is going to be different than expected.
From a tournament perspective, MKX is going to be phenomenal. We don't have to build a scene this time like we did for the last game, so it's going to be hype from day one. So long as there's nothing stupid like the input glitch or bomb resets, the game should be very competitive.
As for Injustice, I liked the game, but pace of the matches just weren't that fun. Perfect Legend said they should have increased the overall walk speed, and I agree with that. I still hate the wager system.

Yes! Yes! Yes!
MKX lets go. I just want a kool trailer at like the spike game awards.(kratos was kool to me). It will be glourious! Want to see the new kharacter designs and maybe a guest or two.(Sweet Tooth!) I kould live with out it though. Tag fatalities would be nice as well, maybe.

My mind, body, and soul were ready 5 minutes after MK9 launched.....That can't be healthy, heh.

That's a fair point but NRS is definitely working on something cool I'm sure. Still crossing my fingers for a bad ass MK action/adventure leading up to the next MK fighter.

This is pretty much my thoughts after playing the game. Although I like the clashes but not having to waste meter on it. I'm a huge fan of DC so I was probably more excited than others around here with Injustice but now that I have it I'm pretty much on the better side of meh about it.
I definitely want to see more MK.

I want a marvel game similar to injustice.
MKX can't wait.
Meh, with how people are saying that they want the next game to be better, give them a chance to take their time with it. I am in no hurry.
Besides, I still haven't beaten Grand Theft Auto 5.. well, mainly because I got back into World of Warcraft again.

Right there with J-R. Injustice was fun but I can honestly say fuck Injustice and bring on MK10. I'm so eager to see where the story goes, how next gen will improve MK as a whole, what the redesigned characters like Fujin, Kai, and Shinnok will look like, and how the gameplay will be.
Injustice was fun, but it's time for MK again.

Hector leaving NRS leads me to think they're doing something with the gameplay that's going to be fundamentally bad for the competitive community. Even before the announcement, I've been thinking that the gameplay engine is probably not going to be as recognizable as we think.
After all, that's pretty much how Boon has always operated. He reinvents wheels despite their shape and functionality, and even though he's warmed up to the FGC in recent years, making the most competitive MK possible has never been his modus operandi.
Before I wanted to see MKX because I was curious. Now I want to see it because I'm worried.

I've really been wanting to see MK 10 for a long time, the end of MK 9's story mode has made me feel very uncertain of what's going to happen, but at the same time I'm excited for what comes. MK 4 got me through a lot of tough times when it came out, so I'd really like to see what they'll do with this new timeline in regards to characters and stories.
Heck, an MK game hasn't left me that so uncertain since Deception. I've even had dreams of how Story Mode starts out with the enslave good guys attacking. I mean, yes some characters were killed off in the aftermath of Deadly Alliance but they were only 5 characters, not 8 like what happened in MK 9.
Injustice showed NRS can do games besides Mortal Kombat and make a good fighting game on par with other fighting games.

I hope some more news starts leaking about it in the next few months. Can't wait to see what's in store for the next installment.

I'm still standing by with this, but I could see some sort of news happening around this year's E3.
But I would like for them to have their time with creating the next game since so many obviously had a lot of problems with the last game. I'm just saying, "official rant thread."
I'd like to not see that thread make another appearance for the next game. Let them have a few more months of no news, and let Injustice get a bit older, then I'll be okay with some news being shown.

It' been 3 years since MK9. An MK10 announcement wouldn't hurt. I'm not saying they have to release it this year. But fuck, they could at least say "Hey, we are working on MK10."
If they didn't at least announce MK10 at E3, I'd be disappointed.

The next Mortal Kombat has been revealed to be in the making a long time ago, despite we lack an official announcement. I would expect it to be released in 2015 and around spring/summer like the last two games did.

Yeah that's what I'd like to see. We all know they're working on it, why not make it official with a trailer? Hell, even a screenshot would be more than enough to keep us going for months.
Even just showing an MK logo with the date 2015 would be better than nothing.

Something in the line of that would be appropriate, my friend.

Just please god don't be a movie tie-in... and tone down the projectile game...
...and redo Kenshi. Telekinetic samurai should not be a zoning character... leave the clones to Noob.
... but yes, bring on MK10!
