Oh shit! I really didn't care for the X-ray mode but now I'm super PUMPED about it!

However, seeing how brutal some of these are, it makes it hard to believe these characters can continue to fight after going through that. I mean Goro's alone would kill you in an instant! I know this is MK, but how can these guys have their bones/organs crushed, neck snapped etc etc and survive? The fatalities aren't too far away from this (then again, maybe that's why they're so RIDICULOUS this time around).

To everyone who thinks the X-ray combo's are too brutal, and over the top. I have 3 words.

It's Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat sets itself apart by being brutal and over the top. If X-rays were in any other fighting game they would be the biggest mistake that game could make. But it's Moral Kombat, and it works. It suits the game, it suits the setting, the story, and the characters.

I love the addition of X-ray's in this game. They make the game seem more like Mortal kombat and less like Street fighter or Tekken. If I wanted to play other fighting games I would. I want to play a fighter where I can bust someones jaw, or break their ribs. So if you want to play a fighting game that isn't over the top and too brutal, look for other fighting games, because Mortal kombat has always tested the limits.

No for real though holy crap. As a Stryker fan I've been dying to see him in action for a while now. He looks great. Not to mention this video showing off a bunch of other characters even if they are for brief moments. Liu Kang, Baraka, and Goro? Fuck yeah.

Just need more Jade now.

To echo what most of you have said, I think this might be the best look Liu Kang has had. Jeet Kune Do stance, sick threads, MK1 Fatality incorporated in X-ray...

Watching this vid makes me think that Scorpion and Mileena need better X-Ray moves. Everyone seems to have one that fits them, yet they seem to have very random ones. Scorpion should have one that uses his spear or sword. Mileena should have one that uses her sai, or her teeth.

Scorpion's X-ray starts off with his teleport punch to the face if I remember correctly.

It's alright I'm 16 lol I have been on mko since I was 11 lol. Plus I want smoke to jeez everything is going good until I see smoke.

To be blunt, some of them look like they would make great fatalities, I just hope the fatalities are even more brutal.

Some of these make the fatalities look tame.

Kitana's is cool, but I agree, its more of a fatality. It would be better if she stabbed them in the shoulders. Or if she jumped up on their shoulders and twisted their neck around like in MKGold.

Goro's is badass. I like how they incorporate all four arms.

I would like her to use her abilities in some way. However, her X-ray has grown on me. I'm assuming NRS didn't want their placeholder X-ray to go to waste. To be honest, she doesn't look bad in this position, and it's hard for me to argue that her pose doesn't suit her:

I like Scorpion's X-Ray. It starts with a Teleport Punch and the stomping on them while they're on the ground fits Scorp's personality.

I don't mind the punch to the gut, knee to the head....to start her x-ray off. But it should end with either a sai stab/slash to the throut, or a bite to the jugular.

I'm pretty sure (bet my right nut sure) that Mileena's x-ray as we've seen it is incomplete. We only see two hits. After that knee, I'm sure she does something with her sais or her pretty mouth.

Great update. The x-rays seem just as important as fatalities now.

It's been that way since E3. It wouldn't phase me if NRS kept her X-ray as it is, yet it would be a nice surprise if they did throw in some additional moves in the final version. We'll have to wait and see.

They must be incomplete, Kung Lao's as well. Some characters have three hits with way more damage. Wouldn't there be a balancing issue if they remain as is?

Huh. I did not realize that his hat had a visor. That makes it a little better in my opinion.
