Some of your comments are making it seem like you think PURCHASING Freddy is mandatory....I could just be reading them wrong, but I'd like to point out that this is not the case.

Purchasing Freddy is NOT mandatory, but downloading the new update, which is his Compatibility Pack, is mandatory.

So NRS finally gave us a Compatibility Pack that is a required download. You can choose not to download it, but it will disable you from playing online.
