Since MK9 is kind of campy and silly at times, there wouldn't be any harm in seeing a boob from time to time, IF you had the OPTION turned on. (Just like a gore OPTION can be turned ON/OFF.)

Heavy Rain and LA Noire have raised the bar in what we can expect from realistic portrayals of humans in video games, so just wait until the next consoles come out before you make up your mind on this issue!

I think sex in MK is stupid in the way that it's currently portrayed. After every match, Sonya's gigantic boobs are falling out of her shirt that's been torn to shreds. She's special forces, and she's basically completely unprotected.

Jade is more concerned about being a stripper than fighting.

Sindel is old and her boobs are hanging out.

Sheeva has no clothes and touches herself for a victory pose. When she's in "armor" for her alt costume, she still has no clothes.

Kitana just got out of bed.

Mileena is a slut, moans, and touches herself for victory poses.

All of these things actually hurt to break immersion in MK, imo.

If you just get jumped by a ninja you're not going to take the time to do a stripper dance, you're going to freak out wondering if you're going to get jumped again. Their objectification sucks, and doesn't' work well for MK. I don't want them being objectified anymore than I want subzero to take out his ice penis.

I read some comments/opinions of people saying "why the double standard with sex" or "why going around it" or whatever and I just can't fully understand how it applies to this subject/discussion (MK).

I understand making games feel more realistic and whatever, but, sex would only be an addition for fun. And I'm pretty sure it would look as corny, as stupid, and as unnecessary as it does in almost every other game.

I think nudity wouldn't necessarily be an issue if Mortal Kombat was more serious in tone and realism.
However, the game is currently like the wet dream of a 13 yr old kid.

I don't think that sex in MK is taboo so much as it is unnecessary. Granted, I understand the logic of "I can tear some dude's intestines out, what's wrong with the occasional breast?" But does incorporating sex into the series either through plot or through the fabled 'sex-alities' really augment the core of saving the universe via magic kung-fu? Meaning, are you more likely to enjoy the plot if you get to see some Sonya / Johnny action? Are you more likely to play as Kung Lao if he rapes his opponent after a victory? I wouldn't, but hey. I'm one of those annoying Americans (shudder) peeps in this thread keep going on about.

I think the campiness of story mode offsets the violence of MK, but honestly, I think Dead of Alive will be the first fighting game to actually show boobs someday.

Mortal Kombat is a fantasy video game, so any sexual content doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it should be expected at this day and age, as video games have been pushing the boundaries for quite some time.

Mortal Kombat is quite toned down in that regard, especially compared to other games such as God of War 3, for example.

This has nothing to do with religion. I'm not religious myself and I don't agree with sex in Mortal Kombat.

The only reason this idea is brought up is because someone likes sex(or wanting to fulfill a fantasy sex) and likes Mortal Kombat. Putting two together = double orgasm to them. MK is a fantasy game sure, but it never was a dark-sexual fantasy game.
