He means 1 vs. 1 against the CPU where you choose both characters, separate from arcade and story mode - and I don't know the answer.

Then I have heard that in practice mode you can set the computer to attack you, apart from that, I dunno.

There is not.

Only in training you can go against any CPU of your desire, just like in MKvsDCU.

Vs CPU has been one of my most wanted options, I'm still shocked you cant do this. If you randmoly feel like playing as Kitana and wanna fight Baraka, you should have the option to do that if you want.

How does Test Your Luck mode work......that works for more than just 2 player right, you can do that against CPU cant you?

Uh you can do it. Fire up training mode, select kitana, select baraka, then set training dummy to AI, pick the difficulty and fight. You don't need another mode for that.

I honestly would have liked a mode similar to ghost mode in Tekken 6 where you can fight an endless number of CPU opponents and at the end of every round you pick your next opponent from a choice of three.

But hey whatever, still gonna love the game even if they don't have that smile

Not the same: You can't do a fatality or even beat the opponent. It's not a real match, it's training.

Are you guys freaking kidding me?!?!? We the hell am I supposed to play with!?!?! My brother hates fighting games and i don't have XBOX Live! wtf! I've been anticipating this game for MONTHS and I can't even play an AI?!?!?! So what, I'll be stuck with Story Mode, Challenge Tower, and Test Your Luck? Many people think this is a little thing but WTF! that sucks!!!

Chill out man there's still arcade mode! With the ladder and everything.

VS. CPU is just a mode to pick an opponent and fight.

Damn, that's a shame. It would have been nice to have this mode. Fighting the CPU in Practice mode is good and all, but it would be nice if you could play a whole match against the CPU.

Well maybe you can all take solace in the fact that the arcade ladder fighters and stages are all random until you hit the 2 sub bosses and then the Boss so 7 random fights on 7 random stages
