How is he better? You feel the need to ask me how Termor is better than Shujinko? Seriously?

Well, for all intents and purposes, Tremor is another pallete swap. But heck, we have like 7 Ninja pallete swaps already and all of them are still cooler than those characters. They might lack originality, but that doesn't change the fact that they're inherently cooler than the characters I've listed. And I could add more to the list. I'd say there were only 1 or 2 decent new characters in each game from MKDA through MKD. Frost and Kenshi were alright, Havik was awesome, Kira, Darrius and Ashrah were alright, Daegon was pretty cool. But that's it. And when I say they're 'alright' I mean they still don't compare to any of the classic MK characters. The rest were pure filler if that.

Either way, the fact that Tremor hasn't been explored as a character at all gives him a lot more potential to play an interesting role in the next storyline. So I really hope to see him.

I've been blindly faithful to Mortal Kombat since the first game, with that said I think the MK team has made some less than shitty choices over the years. Most of the characters added past MK4 were extraordinarily bland and uninteresting. So seeing Tremor pop up in the next game would be refreshing.

And why has no one mentioned the fact Tremor's an ex-Lin Kuei? There can be sooo many cool things they can do with his story.

No one mentioned it because its NOT TRUE. Its just more rumors made by desperate Tremor fans. The only in-game story ever told about him is him being a black dragon. Thats all.

Thats actually Rain's story before it was retconned.

So I don't really get why some people make the argument that Tremor shouldn't get into the main roster because he was nothing but a rumor. Several rumored characters have made it into the roster. Ermac, and Skarlet for example were nothing but rumors and fan created characters, but they are now playable. Not to mention that Blaze started as a piece of background decoration. So I don't think its crazy for people to think that Tremor, rumored or not, would get in.

Also even if Special Forces is now considered non-canon they still took Jarek from it. So if Jarek can make the leap I think Tremor would be able to as well.

And if he does I'm willing to bet he'll get Rain's retconned bio as his own. Whether or not it was written for him it has been attributed to him by the fans, and seeing has how there is no one else using that bio, I'd say its up for grabs.

Of course I really wouldn't be surprised if Tremor's recent appearance is nothing more then Boon trolling, and right now he's reading this thread and just laughing to himself.

No one is really making that argument. They are simply stating his status as an mk character has been overblown. Some fans act as if he was really going to "almost" appear in many mk games like Armageddon or Deadly Alliance(despite no krypt art to prove any of it).

Frost and Stryker were supposed to appear in earlier games(confirmed by the MK team) but they eventually make a full debut later. Tremor however was never confirmed and fans had a field day with it in which they said the orange tinted Ermac with Rain's bio mistakenly put next to it meant "Tremor was suppose to be in Trilogy". They took rumors and ran with it as if it were the truth.

And after fans begged for this side game character to be in...

MK team made his first appearance a non canonical challenger tower appearance where he was dubbed a "forgotten" warrior. Doesn't exactly sound complimentary.

I'd rather have Sareena's two sidekicks in than Tremor to be honest. At least they aren't palette swaps and have original faces.

I think it's a valid question. Shujinko may do nothing but swipe moves, and he may be an idiot, but I found him to be an interesting idiot. That's much, much more than I can say for yet another pallet-swap who happens to be - PURPORTEDLY - yet another Lin Kuei/Black Dragon in a series wherein half the cast is composed of members of said clans. And if I had to choose between seeing either Shijinko or Tremor come back with a completely original moveset, Shujinko would win by a mile.

The fact about Tremor that remains to be taken from him is the fact that enough fans of the MK series not so much HIS fans would like to give him a chance if they can ACTUALLY do something with him regardless what this 1 site can say. Now that Jax is possibly out of the picture for MK10, Tremor can have a chance against Sonya, because you know Jax will return if he isn't already slated for MK10, because I have a feeling that Kano nor Jarek is returning and that the 10 zombie characters: Jax, Sindel, Kitana, Jade, Smoke, Cyber-Zero (?), Nightwolf, Kabal, Stryker, and Kung Lao will be unlockables in MK10; meaning that Jax/Sonya will need another arch-enemy given that both Kira/Kobra just SUCK!!!

Tremor's appearance (attire)/gameplay/moveset should ALL be altered in the EXACT same way that Rain was treated this go-around. They took a rather joke/not-so-famous elemental character and made him into a MASTERPIECE, and I for one hope that Rain returns in MK10; I'd even take Freddy Krueger again based on that fact. The fact that he's "now released from prison" due to MK Vita's Jax re-introducing him makes a great cameo-entrance like their doing with the Marvel Avengers's spin-off movies giving him a more hyped-feel once you do get the WHOLE chance for him being playable. Yeah it's easy to create yet another Earth character but he can change some people's minds if we let the NRS do their job.

It would be really kool and fresh to have Tremor along with No Face and Tassia in the UMK9 or MK10. MK TEAM isn't very creative with new characters in the past 15 years So bring them in !

Rain a joke? Rain already had original moves when he debuted and a story to go along with it in Trilogy. Yeah he was a pallete swap but given it was the 2D era, i'll let that slide. Just because Boon took inspiration from purple rain doesn't mean hes a "joke". He was a canon character from the start too. I would argue tremor's debut was more of a joke as he didn't even have original moves. A generic fireball and ground pound both of which Jax already has. This was in both of his appearances in MK. Hes just a palette swap ninja who looked like Scorpion and has uninspired/copied moves from Jax. Hes probably the only ninja to ever be a clone in MK. And here you are taking shots at other clones yet saying Tremor is better. If Kira and Kobra were to return, they would get revamps too obviously. And they probably have better chances than Tremor.

Although the New Cyborg Lin Kuei can be an Alternate Costume Frost (makes sense) as well as Li Mei a Lava Priest (because of the characters present she is the one that fits the concept), and Shadow Priest and Masked Guard, respectively, Shang Tsung and Hotaru disguise (all versions as Alternate Costume).

As more is extremely important to give a real chance and bring back almost all the characters were 3D (with the exception of Meat, Kai, Jarek, Kobra, Taven, Darrius, Hsu Hao, Blaze and Mokap) plus Khameleon (though Chameleon can be filed).
