I don't think so. I think the point is very spot on.

They gave preferential treatment to a guest character over the main roster during fatalities that prevents him from being fully effected in the way the person pulling off the fatality would like them to be.

So, why bother with fatalities for Kratos in an MK game if he doesn't abide by MK rules like everyone else?

It's just sort of... disappointing.

But it's still special treatment. It implies that out of all the MK9 characters, Kratos is the only one that isn't scared of anything. He dies with dignity, but characters like Scorpion, Liu Kang, and Raiden don't. Instead, they run and yell and look like idiots. It's more of special treatment than it is character-fitting.

I'm sure it was something they had to agree to for him to be in the game. I don't really see it as a big deal since before PSN went down, I never saw a single person playing as Kratos online, and aside from going through fight mode with him once for his secondary costume and to finish off a trophy, I haven't bothered with him again.

Not to mention not doing the awkard pose after CSZ second. It's not a matter of dignity, it's a matter of your nerves getting diconnected!!

And Mileena not eating your face or Cage not oscarizing you isn't because you don't have fear, is because of special treatment... or maybe he is completly putrid or smells bad so Mileena doesn't want to eat him and Cage doesn't want to put his prize on that s**t

I played the God Of War games and even when he does die, he does not really have a major reaction

He is basically dead and does not give a crap if he is going to die or not.

Its cos he knows he's going to Hell, he's been there before loads of times and he knows his way out, so he doesn't fear death

That has absolutely NOTHING to do with Kratos or his personality. They just... don't do their full fatalities on Kratos and only on Kratos.

I have 0 problem with Kratos as a guest character.

But I think the fatality special treatment is a load of bullshit. It gets me more mad at the GOW team than NRS. Why do you need to make sure hes treated better? You think people will stop liking Kratos because Mileena bites his face? Ridiculous.

Kratos isn't afraid of death, he died atleast 3 times and climbed out of his universes "Hell" not mention the last time he climbed out he killed his universes "Satan" who was also his uncle.

I don't find it hard to imagine he can't get out of netherrealm easily.

i actually think it makes total sense that kratos doesnt run around screaming like a little girl when ermac shrinks him. he 's fought (and utterly destroyed) giants ten times bigger than ermac.

Just did Smoke's fatality on him. He screams but his mouth doesn't move. Its weird to look at.

What is it that you don't understand? Most of this has nothing to with him not fearing death. This thread in specific refers to Mileena not devouring his head. As mentioned already, not fearing death has no importance when it comes to Mileena biting his face or Johnny shoving a trophy in his neck. That is obvious special treatment. And I'll say it again, Kratos is not the only character in the game that doesn't fear death. Scorpion, for instance, shouldn't be afraid of death at all because he is an immortal spectre that basically OWNS Hell.

OMG who fucking cares what hes done lol. "Well in this game blah blah" do you not think quan chi, noob or scorpion are that afraid of hell or death or whatever ... no. They make him look all bad ass thats stupid imo, i dont have the ps3 version so I have nothing to complain about but for people who own that version and dont have a kratos hard one I can see how this is innoying.
